辽宁师范大学海华学院始建于2000年7月，是经教育部批准，由辽宁省属重点大学辽宁师范大学按新体制和新机制举办，文理兼备的综合性全日制本科普通高等院校（独立学院）。学校位于辽宁省大连市北黄海经济开发区的庄河，占地61.6万平方米（约合924亩），建筑面积约21.4万平方米，另有占地28.4万平方米（约合472亩）的校内实习实践基地。学校现有专兼职教师519人，在校生7988人，设有法学、文学、工学、理学、管理学、艺术学、教育学等多个学科门类，现招生专业22个，在全国21个省份招生。

Haihua College of Liaoning Normal University was founded in July 2000. It is a comprehensive full-time undergraduate ordinary institution of higher learning (independent college) approved by the Ministry of Education, sponsored by Liaoning Normal University, a key provincial university in Liaoning Province, under a new system and mechanism, with both arts and sciences. The college is located in Zhuanghe, Beihai Economic Development Zone, Dalian City, Liaoning Province, covering an area of 616,000 square meters (about 924 mu), with a building area of about 214,000 square meters, and an on-campus internship and practice base covering 284,000 square meters (about 472 mu). The college has 519 full-time and part-time teachers and 7,988 students. It offers multiple disciplines including law, literature, engineering, science, management, art, and education, with 22 enrollment majors and招生 in 21 provinces across the country.

学校教学科研仪器设备总值4364.6万元，生均教学科研仪器设备值5464.03元，现有各类实验室41个。图书馆总建筑面积36000余平方米，各类藏书80.68万册。近三年来，获批国家社科基金项目、教育部产学合作协同育人项目等共计26项；省级及校级一流本科专业6个；省级一流本科课程28门；汉语言文学专业获批省一流示范专业。学校注重国际化办学，与美国、英国、日本、韩国等国家的多所高校开展合作，建立了多层次的国际化人才培养模式。

The total value of teaching and research instruments and equipment in the college is 43.646 million yuan, with an average of 5,464.03 yuan per student. There are 41 laboratories of various types. The library has a total construction area of more than 36,000 square meters and a collection of 806,800 books of various types. In the past three years, it has obtained 26 projects including National Social Science Fund projects and Industry-University Cooperation Collaborative Education projects of the Ministry of Education; 6 provincial and university-level first-class undergraduate majors; 28 provincial first-class undergraduate courses; and the Chinese Language and Literature major was approved as a provincial first-class demonstration major. The college focuses on international education and has carried out cooperation with many universities in the United States, the United Kingdom, Japan, South Korea and other countries, establishing a multi-level international talent training model.
