贵州黔南科技学院前身为2001年成立的贵州大学科技学院，2021年经教育部批准转设为独立设置的民办普通本科高校，现隶属于贵州省教育厅主管。学校坐落于黔南布依族苗族自治州惠水县，规划占地面积1191.4亩，现有全日制本科学生11000余人，教职工820人，其中副高以上职称137人，专任教师中研究生学历占比达77.7%。

Formerly known as the College of Science and Technology of Guizhou University founded in 2001, Guizhou Qiannan College of Science and Technology was approved by the Ministry of Education to be transformed into an independent private undergraduate institution in 2021. Currently under the supervision of Guizhou Provincial Department of Education, the university is located in Huishui County, Qiannan Buyi and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, covering a planned area of 1191.4 mu. It has over 11,000 full-time undergraduate students and 820 faculty members, including 137 with associate senior titles or above, and 77.7% of full-time teachers holding postgraduate degrees.

学校以应用型人才培养为导向，开设计算机科学与技术、电子信息工程、工商管理、汉语言文学等24个本科专业，涵盖工、管、文、经、法、艺六大学科门类。建有大数据工程实训中心等各类实验室50余个，与企业共建校外实践基地70余家，形成了"产教融合、校企协同"的育人特色。近年来先后荣获"全国三八红旗集体""贵州省党建工作示范点"等荣誉称号，校友会排名跻身中国民办大学（II类）前30位。

With a focus on applied talent cultivation, the university offers 24 undergraduate programs including Computer Science and Technology, Electronic Information Engineering, Business Administration, and Chinese Language and Literature, covering six disciplines: engineering, management, liberal arts, economics, law, and arts. It has established over 50 laboratories such as the Big Data Engineering Training Center and more than 70 off-campus practice bases in collaboration with enterprises, forming an educational特色 characterized by "industry-education integration and school-enterprise collaboration". In recent years, it has been awarded honors such as "National March 8th Red Banner Collective" and "Guizhou Provincial Party Building Work Model Site", ranking among the top 30 private universities (Category II) in China according to the Alumni Association rankings.
