荆州学院是经教育部批准设立的全日制普通本科高校，前身是创建于2004年的长江大学工程技术学院，2021年5月转设更名为荆州学院。学校地处国家历史文化名城——湖北省荆州市，校园环境优美，现代教育及生活设施齐备，是莘莘学子求学的理想场所。

Jingzhou University is a full-time ordinary undergraduate university approved by the Ministry of Education. Its predecessor was the College of Engineering and Technology of Yangtze University, founded in 2004. In May 2021, it was renamed Jingzhou University upon approval by the Ministry of Education. Located in Jingzhou, a national historical and cultural city in Hubei Province, the university boasts a beautiful campus with complete modern educational and living facilities, making it an ideal place for students to pursue their studies.

学校坚持以习近平新时代中国特色社会主义思想为指导，全面贯彻党的教育方针，坚持社会主义办学方向，以立德树人为根本任务，培养德智体美劳全面发展的高素质应用型人才。学校现有十一院一部三所，开设35个本科专业、19个专科专业，其中计算机科学与技术、机械设计制造及其自动化、商务英语等3个专业获批湖北省高校一流本科专业建设点。

Guided by Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, the university fully implements the Party's educational policy, adheres to the socialist orientation in running schools, takes moral education as its fundamental task, and cultivates high-quality applied talents with all-round development of morality, intelligence, physical fitness, aesthetics and labor. The university currently has 11 schools, 1 department and 3 research institutes, offering 35 undergraduate programs and 19 junior college programs. Among them, 3 programs including Computer Science and Technology, Mechanical Design, Manufacturing and Automation, and Business English have been approved as first-class undergraduate program construction sites in Hubei Province.

学校高度重视人才培养和就业创业工作，毕业生考研录取率连续多年居全省同类高校前列，近三年学生获得国家、省部级以上各类奖励103项，获国家实用新型专利147项，发表论文156篇。学校通过产学研合作订单班等形式拓宽就业渠道，毕业生质量获得用人单位广泛认可。

The university attaches great importance to talent cultivation, employment and entrepreneurship. The postgraduate entrance examination admission rate of graduates has ranked among the top of similar universities in the province for many years. In the past three years, students have won 103 national and provincial awards, obtained 147 national utility model patents, and published 156 papers. The university expands employment channels through industry-university-research cooperation order classes and other forms, and the quality of graduates has been widely recognized by employers.
