新疆铁道职业技术学院是经自治区人民政府批准、教育部备案的全日制普通高等职业学校，是新疆唯一一所以培养轨道交通类专业高素质技术技能人才为主的高职院校。学校前身可追溯至1950年创建的西北铁路干线工程局天水铁路人员训练所，历经多次整合发展，于2012年正式成立。现有乌鲁木齐、哈密两个校区，总面积880亩，建筑面积12万平方米，全日制在校生7600余人。

Xinjiang Railway Vocational and Technical College is a full-time public higher vocational school approved by the People's Government of the Autonomous Region and registered with the Ministry of Education. It is the only vocational college in Xinjiang focusing on cultivating high-quality technical talents for rail transit majors. The college traces its origins to the Tianshui Railway Personnel Training Institute of the Northwest Railway Main Line Engineering Bureau founded in 1950. After several integrations and developments, it was officially established in 2012. Currently, it has two campuses in Urumqi and Hami, covering a total area of 880 mu with a building area of 120,000 square meters, and has over 7,600 full-time students.

学校设有7个二级学院，开设高速铁路施工与维护、动车组检测等31个高职专业，其中19个轨道交通类专业涵盖铁路和城轨各岗位工种。拥有123个专业实习（训）室，包括中央财政支持实训基地2个、教育部生产性实训基地2个，以及占地5.2万平方米的高铁综合生产性实训基地。学校是国家级高技能人才培训基地、教育部现代学徒制试点单位，先后获评自治区优质高等职业学校、首批自治区工匠学院等荣誉称号。

The college has 7 secondary colleges, offering 31 higher vocational majors such as High-Speed Railway Construction and Maintenance, and EMU Inspection. Among them, 19 rail transit majors cover all positions in railways and urban rail transit. It has 123 professional internship (training) rooms, including 2 training bases supported by the central finance, 2 productive training bases of the Ministry of Education, and a high-speed railway comprehensive productive training base covering an area of 52,000 square meters. The college is a national high-skilled talent training base and a pilot unit of modern apprenticeship system of the Ministry of Education. It has been awarded the honorary titles of Autonomous Region High-Quality Higher Vocational School and the first batch of Autonomous Region Craftsman Colleges.
