大连装备制造职业技术学院创建于2009年，是经辽宁省人民政府批准成立、国家教育部备案、独立设置的以工科为主的民办高职学院。学院坐落于风光旖旎的海滨城市大连金普新区，东临装备制造业园区，西靠金渤海岸现代服务业发展区，占地17.4万平方米，建筑面积7.5万平方米，在校生近5000人。

Dalian Vocational and Technical College of Equipment Manufacturing was founded in 2009. It is a private higher vocational college approved by the Liaoning Provincial People's Government, registered with the Ministry of Education, and independently established with engineering as its main focus. Located in the beautiful coastal city of Dalian's Jinpu New District, the college is adjacent to the emerging equipment manufacturing industrial park in the east and the scenic Jinbo Coast modern service industry development zone in the west, covering an area of 174,000 square meters with a building area of 75,000 square meters and nearly 5,000 students.

学院设有机械工程、电气工程、汽车工程、管理工程、信息工程5个系及2个教学部，涵盖机械设计、自动化、汽车制造、轨道交通等7个专业类别。投资2800万元建设的实习实训中心含6个实训基地，可同时容纳500余人实训，教学科研仪器设备总值2805.2万元，生均3973.9元。

The college has 5 departments (Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Management Engineering, Information Engineering) and 2 teaching divisions, covering 7 professional categories such as mechanical design, automation, automobile manufacturing, and rail transit. The internship and training center, invested 28 million yuan, includes 6 training bases that can accommodate over 500 people for training at the same time. The total value of teaching and research instruments and equipment is 28.052 million yuan, with an average of 3,973.9 yuan per student.

学院坚持"质量立校、人才强校"战略，形成"理实一体化"教学模式，学生职业技能证书获证率达96%，与60余家企业建立校外实训基地，毕业生年均就业率超95%。先后获评全国德育教育管理先进学校、辽宁省平安校园等荣誉，2015年机械制造与自动化专业入选全国首批现代学徒制试点。

Adhering to the strategy of "establishing the college with quality and strengthening the college with talents", the college has formed an "integration of theory and practice" teaching model. The certification rate of students' vocational skills certificates reaches 96%, and it has established off-campus training bases with more than 60 enterprises. The average annual employment rate of graduates exceeds 95%. It has successively been awarded honors such as the National Advanced School in Moral Education Management and Liaoning Provincial Safe Campus. In 2015, the Mechanical Manufacturing and Automation major was selected as one of the first national modern apprenticeship pilot programs.
