甘肃机电职业技术学院坐落于国家历史文化名城甘肃省天水市，是一所以机电类专业为特色，电子信息类、交通运输类、能源动力和财经商贸类协调发展的公办普通高等职业院校，隶属于甘肃省教育厅。学校始建于1973年，前身为甘肃省机械技工学校、甘肃省机械工业学校和甘肃机械电子职工大学，2009年经甘肃省人民政府批准整合组建为甘肃机电职业技术学院，2017年甘肃省核工业机电研究所整建制并入。学校现为国家级高技能人才培训基地、全国教育系统先进集体、甘肃省优质高等职业院校、甘肃省“双高计划”建设单位。

Gansu Vocational College of Mechanical and Electrical Technology is located in Tianshui City, Gansu Province, a national historical and cultural city. It is a public ordinary higher vocational college featuring mechanical and electrical majors, with coordinated development of electronic information, transportation, energy and power, and finance and trade majors, affiliated to the Gansu Provincial Department of Education. Founded in 1973, the college evolved from Gansu Mechanical Technical School, Gansu Machinery Industry School, and Gansu Machinery and Electronics Workers' University. In 2009, it was reorganized into Gansu Vocational College of Mechanical and Electrical Technology upon approval by the Gansu Provincial People's Government. In 2017, Gansu Institute of Nuclear Industry Mechanical and Electrical Engineering was merged into the college as a whole. It is now a national high-skilled talent training base, an advanced collective in China's education system, a high-quality higher vocational college in Gansu Province, and a construction unit of Gansu's "Double High Plan".

学校下设机械工程学院、电气工程学院等14个教学教辅单位，开设33个高职专业，覆盖装备制造、电子信息等9个专业大类，其中国家级重点专业2个、省级特色专业多个。现有教职工416人，其中高级职称63人，“双师型”教师83人；各类在册学生10200余人。校园占地面积约386亩，建筑面积10.4万平方米，教学仪器设备总值3900万元，建有国家级实训基地3个、省级协同创新中心2个及60余个专业实训室，形成了以机电特色为核心的办学体系和“知能合一、敢为人先”的办学理念。

The college has 14 teaching and auxiliary units including the School of Mechanical Engineering and the School of Electrical Engineering, offering 33 higher vocational majors covering 9 professional categories such as equipment manufacturing and electronic information, including 2 national key majors and multiple provincial characteristic majors. It has 416 faculty members, including 63 with senior professional titles and 83 "double-qualified" teachers, and over 10,200 registered students of various types. The campus covers an area of about 386 mu with a building area of 104,000 square meters and teaching equipment worth 39 million yuan. It has 3 national-level training bases, 2 provincial-level collaborative innovation centers, and more than 60 professional training rooms, forming a school-running system centered on mechanical and electrical characteristics and adhering to the school-running philosophy of "Integration of Knowledge and Ability, Daring to Be the First".
