辽宁机电职业技术学院是经辽宁省人民政府批准、教育部备案的工科类高等职业院校，始建于1965年，前身为国家重点中专辽宁仪器仪表工业学校，2002年独立升格为高等职业技术学院。学校现为国家“双高计划”高水平专业群建设单位、全国第二批深化创新创业教育改革示范高校、国家优质专科高等职业院校，以工科专业为主体，机电类和仪器仪表类专业为特色，形成全日制学历教育、职业培训与科研技术服务并重的发展格局。

Liaoning Institute of Mechanical and Electrical Technology is an engineering-oriented higher vocational college approved by the People's Government of Liaoning Province and registered with the Ministry of Education. Founded in 1965, its predecessor was the national key secondary school Liaoning Instrumentation Industry School, which was independently upgraded to a higher vocational college in 2002. Currently, the college is a construction unit of the high-level professional group under the national "Double High-Level Plan", a national demonstration university for deepening innovation and entrepreneurship education reform (second batch), and a national high-quality vocational college. It focuses on engineering majors with distinctive features in mechanical-electrical and instrumentation disciplines, forming a development pattern that integrates full-time academic education, vocational training, and scientific research and technical services.

学校现有浪头和仪表园两个校区，校园占地540亩，总建筑面积19.68万平方米，设有11个教学单位、9个专业群35个招生专业，与沈阳工业大学联合培养本科层次人才。拥有全日制在校生10406人，教职员工480人，其中高级职称教师179人，双师素质教师占专业教师比例85.02%。教学仪器设备总值达15518.92万元，建有7个中央财政、12个省级财政重点支持的实训基地，179个校内实训室及135个校外实训基地，近三年学生获省级以上技能大赛奖励200余项。

The college has two campuses (Langtou and Instrumentation Park), covering an area of 540 mu with a total construction area of 196,800 square meters. It comprises 11 teaching units, 9 professional groups with 35 enrollment majors, and jointly cultivates undergraduate-level talents with Shenyang University of Technology. The college has 10,406 full-time students and 480 faculty members, including 179 senior-title teachers, with "double-qualified" teachers accounting for 85.02% of professional teachers. The total value of teaching instruments and equipment reaches 155.1892 million yuan, featuring 7 central finance-supported and 12 provincial finance-supported training bases, 179 on-campus training rooms, and 135 off-campus training bases. In the past three years, students have won over 200 provincial-level and above awards in skill competitions.
