辽宁铁道职业技术学院是一所省属公办全日制高等职业院校，为辽宁省首批职业教育改革发展示范学校、辽宁省兴辽卓越高职院校建设单位。始建于1948年，时名东北人民解放军铁道纵队第7、8大队，1952年转隶为铁道部锦州铁路职工学校，是新中国首批8所铁路运输类专业学校之一。2008年在锦州铁路运输学校基础上升格为高等职业院校更为现名。

Liaoning Railway Vocational and Technical College is a provincial public full-time higher vocational college, a demonstration school for the reform and development of vocational education in Liaoning Province, and a construction unit of Liaoning Xingliao Excellent Higher Vocational Colleges. Founded in 1948, it was originally named the 7th and 8th Brigades of the Railway Column of the Northeast People's Liberation Army. In 1952, it was transferred to the Jinzhou Railway Workers' School of the Ministry of Railways and was one of the first 8 railway transportation professional schools in New China. In 2008, it was upgraded from Jinzhou Railway Transportation School to a higher vocational college and got its current name.

学校位于锦州市，共有凌河、双凌两个校区，占地面积406亩，校舍建筑面积16.7万平方米。现有校内实训室80个，校外实训基地75个，国家级示范性虚拟仿真实训基地1个，省级示范性虚拟仿真实训基地1个，生产（经营）实训基地1个。学校是国家首批示范性职业教育集团（联盟）培育单位，是教育部第一批职业教育数字校园建设试点校，国家级产教融合型专业建设试点院校，其中牵头与国铁集团、沈阳地铁、大连地铁等企业共建轨道交通产教融合中心实训基地入选国家教育强国推进工程项目。

The school is located in Jinzhou City, with two campuses, Linghe and Shuangling, covering an area of 406 mu and a building area of 167,000 square meters. There are 80 on-campus training rooms, 75 off-campus training bases, 1 national demonstration virtual simulation training base, 1 provincial demonstration virtual simulation training base, and 1 production (operation) training base. The school is one of the first national demonstration vocational education group (alliance) cultivation units, the first batch of vocational education digital campus construction pilot schools of the Ministry of Education, and a national pilot college for the construction of industry-education integration majors. Among them, the rail transit industry-education integration center training base led by China Railway Group, Shenyang Metro, Dalian Metro and other enterprises was selected into the national education power promotion project.

学校现有教职工373人，其中，专任教师299人，具有副高级及以上职称132人，具有硕士及以上学位205人，双师型教师占比81%。现有全国优秀教师1人，省级职业教育教学名师6人、专业带头人4人、骨干教师2人，轨道交通行业教学名师1人、专业带头人7人，辽宁省优秀青年人才27人。建成教育部课程思政优秀教学团队、辽宁省双师型名师工作室、辽宁省轨道交通技艺技能传承创新平台。

The school has 373 faculty members, including 299 full-time teachers, 132 with associate senior titles or above, 205 with master's degrees or above, and 81% of "double-qualified" teachers. There is 1 national excellent teacher, 6 provincial vocational education teaching masters, 4 professional leaders, 2 backbone teachers, 1 teaching master and 7 professional leaders in the rail transit industry, and 27 outstanding young talents in Liaoning Province. It has built an excellent teaching team for curriculum ideology and politics of the Ministry of Education, a Liaoning provincial double-qualified master studio, and a Liaoning provincial rail transit skill inheritance and innovation platform.

学校现有全日制高职专科在校生8590人。开设专业35个，其中，铁道信号自动控制专业是国家级示范专业，铁道交通运营管理等3个专业是国家级骨干专业，现代通信技术专业是工信部首批产教融合试点专业。另有，省级兴辽卓越高职专业群4个、专业升级与数字化改造示范专业2个、人才培养模式改革示范专业8个。学校与“一带一路”沿线国家院校联合举办中外合作办学项目4个。近五年，获得国家级教学成果奖1项、精品在线开放课程3门；省级教学成果奖19项、精品在线开放课程17门。

The school has 8,590 full-time vocational college students. It offers 35 majors, among which the Railway Signal Automatic Control major is a national demonstration major, 3 majors such as Railway Transportation Operation Management are national key majors, and the Modern Communication Technology major is the first batch of industry-education integration pilot majors of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. In addition, there are 4 provincial Xingliao Excellent Higher Vocational Professional Groups, 2 demonstration majors for professional upgrading and digital transformation, and 8 demonstration majors for talent training model reform. The school has jointly held 4 Sino-foreign cooperative education projects with institutions in countries along the "Belt and Road". In the past five years, it has won 1 national teaching achievement award and 3 excellent online open courses; 19 provincial teaching achievement awards and 17 excellent online open courses.
