辽宁冶金职业技术学院是经辽宁省人民政府批准、国家教育部备案、本钢集团举办的省属全日制普通高等职业学校，是辽宁省唯一一所冶金类高等职业院校。学院前身是创建于1950年的本溪煤铁公司艺徒学校，历经多次更名与合并，于2009年1月正式成立。学院坚持“产教融合、产教并举、以教促产、以产养教”的办学特色，形成了职业教育与职业培训并举的一体化办学格局，先后被授予“辽宁省职业教育先进集体”“国家高技能人才培养示范基地”等多项荣誉称号。

Liaoning Metallurgical Vocational and Technical College is a provincial full-time public higher vocational school approved by the Liaoning Provincial People's Government, registered with the Ministry of Education, and sponsored by Benxi Iron and Steel Group. It is the only metallurgical higher vocational college in Liaoning Province. The college's predecessor was the Benxi Coal and Iron Company Apprentice School founded in 1950. After several renamings and mergers, it was formally established in January 2009. Adhering to the school-running characteristics of "integration of industry and education, simultaneous development of industry and education, promoting industry through education, and supporting education through industry", the college has formed an integrated school-running pattern that combines vocational education with vocational training. It has been awarded many honors such as "Liaoning Provincial Advanced Collective in Vocational Education" and "National Demonstration Base for High-skilled Talents Training".

学院位于辽宁省本溪市，设有主校区和分校区两个校区，总占地16.36万平方米，校舍建筑面积17.25万平方米，固定资产总值9640万元，其中教学仪器设备总值4832万元。开设钢铁智能冶金技术、智能轧钢技术、电气自动化技术等27个专业，建成先进的校内实训中心和校外实训基地，拥有一支由副高级及硕士以上专职教师为骨干、本钢高级技师参与的400余名专兼职教师团队。毕业生就业率始终保持95%以上，本钢集团、东北特钢集团等百余家大型企业是学院稳定的就业基地。

The college is located in Benxi City, Liaoning Province, with two campuses: the main campus and the branch campus. It covers a total area of 163,600 square meters, with a school building area of 172,500 square meters and a total fixed asset value of 96.4 million yuan, including 48.32 million yuan worth of teaching instruments and equipment. It offers 27 majors such as Intelligent Iron and Steel Metallurgy Technology, Intelligent Rolling Technology, and Electrical Automation Technology. It has built advanced on-campus training centers and off-campus training bases, and has a team of more than 400 full-time and part-time teachers, with associate senior titles and master's degree or above as the backbone, and senior technicians from Benxi Iron and Steel Group participating. The employment rate of graduates has always remained above 95%, and more than 100 large enterprises such as Benxi Iron and Steel Group and Northeast Special Steel Group are the college's stable employment bases.
