辽源职业技术学院始建于1958年，是经国家教育部批准成立的公办高等职业院校，由辽源市人民政府主办。学院是教育部、建设部确定的全国71所建筑行业技能型紧缺人才培养工程重点校，教育部、财政部确定的国家资助煤矿安全实训基地建设重点校，吉林省第一、第二批示范性高等职业院校，吉林省特色高水平高职学校，全国现代学徒制双元培育试点城市重点建设单位，国家级高技能人才培训基地。

Liaoyuan Vocational and Technical College was founded in 1958. It is a public higher vocational college approved by the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China and sponsored by the People's Government of Liaoyuan City. The college is identified as one of the 71 key schools for the training project of skilled talents in short supply in the construction industry by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Construction, a key school for the construction of national subsidized coal mine safety training bases by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Finance, the first and second batches of demonstration higher vocational colleges in Jilin Province, a characteristic high-level vocational school in Jilin Province, a key construction unit of the national modern apprenticeship dual cultivation pilot city, and a national high-skilled talent training base.

学院现有教职员工556人，专任教师375人，双师型教师146人，高级职称教师150人。设有7个吉林省特色高水平专业（群），1个国家级骨干专业，3个省级品牌专业群，5个省级教学改革试点专业，3个省级示范专业，1个省级特色专业。学院占地面积54.16万平方米，建筑面积34万平方米，建有校外实训基地61个，校内实训中心11个，实验实训室254个，教学科研仪器设备总值1.15亿元，纸质图书、电子图书合计72.28万册。近年来，学院积极推进产教融合、校企合作，与德国F+U萨克森职业培训学院、韩国大邱大学等国内外院校开展合作，并与多家企业签订委托培养合同，为学生提供就业保障。

The college currently has 556 faculty members, including 375 full-time teachers, 146 double-qualified teachers, and 150 teachers with senior professional titles. It has 7 Jilin Provincial characteristic high-level majors (groups), 1 national-level backbone major, 3 provincial-level brand major groups, 5 provincial-level teaching reform pilot majors, 3 provincial-level demonstration majors, and 1 provincial-level characteristic major. The college covers an area of 541,600 square meters with a building area of 340,000 square meters. It has 61 off-campus training bases, 11 on-campus training centers, and 254 experimental training rooms. The total value of teaching and research instruments and equipment is 115 million yuan, and the total number of paper books and e-books is 722,800. In recent years, the college has actively promoted the integration of industry and education and school-enterprise cooperation, carried out cooperation with domestic and foreign institutions such as Germany's F+U Sachsen Vocational Training College and South Korea's Daegu University, and signed entrusted training contracts with many enterprises to provide employment security for students.
