内蒙古能源职业学院始创于1997年，其前身是内蒙古电力培训学院。2010年经内蒙古人民政府批准、国家教育部备案，升格为国家统招院校，是内蒙古自治区唯一一所能源类的全日制普通高等职业院校，另有附设中职。

Inner Mongolia Energy Vocational College was founded in 1997, formerly known as Inner Mongolia Electric Power Training College. In 2010, it was approved by the Inner Mongolia People's Government and registered with the Ministry of Education, upgraded to a national unified enrollment college. It is the only full-time ordinary higher vocational college specializing in energy in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, with an attached secondary vocational school.

学院位于内蒙古自治区首府呼和浩特市新城区，占地129亩，建筑面积5万平方米，现有教职工134名，专任教师84名，中高级职称教职工37人，在校生3000余人。下设能源动力、交通运输、汽车、建筑工程、商企文化、退役军人教育、软件工程等七个学院，开设风力发电、光伏、机电一体化、新能源汽车、航空高铁、轨道交通、计算机应用、消防、会计等14个特色优势品牌专业群及专业方向。

The college is located in Xincheng District, Hohhot, the capital of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. It covers an area of 129 mu with a building area of 50,000 square meters. Currently, it has 134 faculty members, 84 full-time teachers, 37 with medium and senior professional titles, and more than 3,000 students. It has seven schools including Energy and Power, Transportation, Automobile, Architectural Engineering, Business and Enterprise Culture, Veteran Education, and Software Engineering, offering 14 characteristic and advantageous professional groups and professional directions such as wind power generation, photovoltaic, mechatronics, new energy vehicles, aviation and high-speed rail, rail transit, computer application, fire protection, and accounting.
