上海东海职业技术学院创建于1993年，是上海市最早由教育部批准颁发国家学历文凭资格的全日制民办高校之一，属非营利公益性民办大学。学校坐落于上海市闵行区虹梅南路6001号，占地221亩，教学及生活用房近13万平方米，教学科研仪器设备总值1.69亿元，纸质藏书68.73万册，是上海市市级特色高职院校和示范性民办高校。

Shanghai Donghai Vocational & Technical College, founded in 1993, is one of the earliest full-time private colleges in Shanghai approved by the Ministry of Education to issue national academic diplomas. As a non-profit public welfare private university, it is located at No. 6001 Hongmei South Road, Minhang District, Shanghai, covering an area of 221 mu with nearly 130,000 square meters of teaching and living space. The total value of teaching and research equipment reaches 169 million yuan, and the library has 687,300 paper books. It is a municipal characteristic higher vocational college and a model private college in Shanghai.

学校以现代服务业和制造业人才培养为核心，设有9个二级教学单位、27个招生专业，涵盖财经商贸、装备制造、电子信息等9大专业门类，拥有5个市级高水平专业群。其中国际货运与报关专业为教育部现代学徒制试点单位，机电一体化技术专业入选中德先进职业教育合作项目（SGAVE），并构建了16个校内实训中心与124个校外实训基地组成的实践教学体系。

Focusing on talent cultivation for modern service industry and manufacturing, the college has 9 secondary teaching units and 27 enrollment majors covering 9 professional categories including finance and trade, equipment manufacturing, and electronic information, with 5 municipal high-level professional groups. Its International Freight and Customs Declaration major is a pilot unit of the Ministry of Education's modern apprenticeship system, and the Mechatronics Technology major is selected into the Sino-German Advanced Vocational Education Cooperation Project (SGAVE). It has built a practical teaching system consisting of 16 on-campus training centers and 124 off-campus training bases.

学校师资力量雄厚，现有教职工近600人，高级职称占比30%，双师型教师占比50%，荣获国家级教学成果一等奖1项、二等奖2项，上海市级教学成果奖12项。2024-2025年连续位列软科中国民办高职院校排名全国第三、上海第一，是上海市重要的技术技能人才培养基地。

The college boasts strong faculty with nearly 600 staff, including 30% with senior professional titles and 50% "double-qualified" teachers. It has won 1 first prize and 2 second prizes of National Teaching Achievements, and 12 Shanghai Teaching Achievement Awards. Ranked third in China and first in Shanghai among private vocational colleges by the Soft Science China University Rankings in 2024-2025, it serves as an important technical and skilled talent training base in Shanghai.
