Shanghai Aurora Vocational College is a full-time ordinary higher vocational college approved by the Shanghai Municipal People's Government and registered with the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China, with the qualification to independently issue academic diplomas. Upholding the school motto of "Shining Through the Ages, Sowing in the Morning and Harvesting in the Evening", the college aims to cultivate high-quality skilled talents with international vision, innovative spirit and practical ability, offering 31 majors covering business administration, art design, information technology, public health and nursing, and other fields.

Located in Shanghai, the college has two campuses with advanced teaching facilities, including 2 training centers supported by the central finance, 23 experimental centers and 109 on-campus training rooms, and has established off-campus training bases with 175 enterprises. Over 30% of the faculty hold senior professional titles, with an optimized structure of "double-qualified" teachers. In recent years, it has won multiple Shanghai Teaching Achievement Awards, with the employment rate of nursing majors remaining above 98% for consecutive years, and its educational quality has been widely recognized by society.
