石河子工程职业技术学院坐落于素有“戈壁明珠”美誉的石河子市，是新疆最早举办职业技术教育的院校之一。学院始建于1976年，前身为石河子地区共产主义劳动大学，先后历经石河子地区农业机械化学校、新疆农垦中等专业学校、新疆石河子工程技术学校。2018年5月，经新疆维吾尔自治区人民政府批准，教育部备案，成立石河子工程职业技术学院，自此成为一所集高职、五年一贯制学历教育及职业技能培训为一体的全日制高职院校，直属新疆生产建设兵团教育局管理。

Shihezi Engineering Technical College is located in Shihezi City, known as the "Pearl of the Gobi". It is one of the earliest institutions to offer vocational and technical education in Xinjiang. Founded in 1976, the college was formerly known as the Communist Labor University of Shihezi Region, and has successively gone through Shihezi Regional Agricultural Mechanization School, Xinjiang Agricultural Reclamation Secondary Vocational School, and Xinjiang Shihezi Engineering and Technical School. In May 2018, approved by the People's Government of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region and filed by the Ministry of Education, Shihezi Engineering Technical College was established. Since then, it has become a full-time higher vocational college integrating higher vocational education, five-year consistent academic education and vocational skills training, directly under the Education Bureau of Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps.

学院校园占地面积555亩，绿化覆盖率57%，校舍总建筑面积14.18万平方米，其中实验、实习、实训场地2.82万平方米；教学科研及实验实训仪器设备总值6914.48万元。现有在职在编教师278人，硕士研究生占比35.6%，双师型教师占比56%，建成兵团级双师型名师工作室2个、兵团级名班主任工作室1个。学院秉承“德技并修、产教融合”的办学理念，聚焦高质量发展主题，围绕建设兵团高水平高职院校目标，不断加强学生专业技能培养，打造中高职贯通的专业人才培养体系，设有大数据技术与应用（兵团高等职业学校）高水平专业群和机电技术应用（兵团中等职业学校）品牌专业群。

The college covers an area of 555 mu with a greening rate of 57%. The total construction area of school buildings is 141,800 square meters, including 28,200 square meters of experimental, internship and training sites. The total value of teaching, scientific research and experimental training instruments and equipment is 69.1448 million yuan. There are 278 in-service teachers, with 35.6% holding master's degrees and 56% being "double-qualified" teachers. The college has built 2 corps-level "double-qualified" famous teacher studios and 1 corps-level famous head teacher studio. Adhering to the school-running philosophy of "cultivating both morality and skills, integrating industry and education", the college focuses on the theme of high-quality development, aims to build a high-level vocational college of the Corps, continuously strengthens the cultivation of students' professional skills, and creates a professional talent training system integrating secondary and higher vocational education. It has a high-level professional group of Big Data Technology and Application (Corps Higher Vocational School) and a brand professional group of Mechanical and Electrical Technology Application (Corps Secondary Vocational School).
