陕西机电职业技术学院创办于1986年，是陕西省人民政府批准设立的省属公办全日制普通高等职业院校，隶属于陕西省教育厅，位于炎帝故里、青铜器之乡、西部工业重镇——陕西省宝鸡市。学校现有宝福路和蟠龙新区2个校区，校园占地面积1048亩。

Shaanxi Institute of Mechanical and Electrical Technology was founded in 1986. It is a public full-time higher vocational college approved by the People's Government of Shaanxi Province, affiliated to the Shaanxi Provincial Department of Education. It is located in Baoji City, Shaanxi Province, the hometown of Emperor Yan, the land of bronze ware, and an important industrial town in western China. The school has two campuses, Baofu Road and Panlong New District, covering an area of 1048 mu.

学校设有智能制造学院、电子信息学院、铁道工程学院等7个二级学院和2个教学单位，开设机电一体化技术、大数据技术、铁道工程技术等40个专业，现有教职工700余名，全日制在校生12000余名。学校以智能制造专业群为主体、以电子信息和交通运输专业群为两翼，构建了“一体两翼”的专业发展格局，机电一体化技术专业群获批陕西省“双高计划”建设项目。

The school has 7 secondary colleges including the School of Intelligent Manufacturing, School of Electronic Information, School of Railway Engineering, and 2 teaching units. It offers 40 majors such as mechatronics technology, big data technology, and railway engineering technology. There are more than 700 faculty members and over 12,000 full-time students. With the intelligent manufacturing professional group as the main body, and the electronic information and transportation professional groups as the two wings, the school has built a "one body and two wings" professional development pattern. The mechatronics technology professional group has been approved as the construction project of Shaanxi Province's "Double High Plan".

学校深化校企合作、产教融合，与三星、大众、吉利汽车等知名企业建立合作关系，共建吉利智造学院、中兴产业学院等特色产业学院，形成了“园中有校、校中有企”的办学优势。近年来，学生在各级职业院校技能大赛中荣获国家和省级一等奖140余项，学校先后被评为“全国教育系统先进集体”“国家职业教育改革发展示范校”等称号。

The school deepens school-enterprise cooperation and industry-education integration, has established cooperative relations with well-known enterprises such as Samsung, Volkswagen, and Geely Automobile, and has jointly built characteristic industrial colleges such as Geely Intelligent Manufacturing College and ZTE Industrial College, forming the school-running advantage of "a school in the park and an enterprise in the school". In recent years, students have won more than 140 national and provincial first prizes in vocational college skills competitions at all levels. The school has been successively rated as "National Advanced Collective in Education System" and "National Model School for Vocational Education Reform and Development".
