天津天狮学院前身为创办于1999年的天狮职业技术学院，2008年经国家教育部批准升格为全日制普通本科高校，是天津市成立最早的民办本科高等学校，2012年获批为学士学位授予单位，2015年顺利通过教育部高等学校本科教学工作合格评估。

Tianjin Tianshi College originated from Tianshi Vocational and Technical College founded in 1999. In 2008, it was upgraded to a full-time ordinary undergraduate university with the approval of the Ministry of Education, becoming the earliest private undergraduate institution in Tianjin. It was accredited as a bachelor's degree-granting unit in 2012 and successfully passed the qualification assessment of undergraduate teaching by the Ministry of Education in 2015.

学校坐落在武清区的龙凤河畔，占地面积约2200亩，规划建筑面积113万平方米，目前拥有全日制在校生13000余人。校园的整体设计融中华传统建筑文化精髓和西方现代建筑理念于一体，采取一流建设规划及标准，是书香气息与园林景观交相辉映的现代化、公园式大学校园。

Located on the bank of Longfeng River in Wuqing District, the college covers an area of about 2200 mu with a planned construction area of 1.13 million square meters. Currently, it has over 13,000 full-time students. The overall campus design integrates the essence of traditional Chinese architectural culture with modern Western architectural concepts, adopting first-class construction planning and standards. It is a modern, park-like university campus where scholarly atmosphere and garden landscapes complement each other.

学校坚持面向产业，服务地方，主动对接和服务区域经济社会发展需求，推进工学、医学、经济学、管理学、理学、文学、艺术等多学科交叉融合、协调发展的学科专业体系，不断调整和优化学科专业布局，积极推进康养医疗、智能科技、数智商科、文化传媒四大专业集群建设。现设有32个本科专业，6个高职专业，9个二级教学单位，建有7大实验中心，200余个实验室。

Adhering to the orientation of serving industries and local development, the college actively aligns with and serves the needs of regional economic and social development. It promotes an interdisciplinary professional system integrating engineering, medicine, economics, management, science, literature, and art for coordinated development. Continuously adjusting and optimizing disciplinary布局, it actively advances the construction of four major professional clusters: health care, intelligent technology, digital business, and cultural media. Currently, it offers 32 undergraduate programs, 6 vocational programs, 9 secondary teaching units, 7 experimental centers, and more than 200 laboratories.

学校坚持人才强校战略，不断优化师资结构，构建高层次人才和高水平团队为引领，专业教师、德育队伍、管理团队为主体，兼职教师为辅助的师资队伍体系。现有省级一流专业3个，省级一流课程12门，省级重点学科建设专业5个，产业学院4个。致力于培养“四会四有”（会做人、会做事、会学习、会生活，有理论、有实践、有创新、有情怀）的德智体美劳全面发展的高素质应用型人才。

The college adheres to the strategy of strengthening the university with talents, continuously optimizes the faculty structure, and builds a faculty system led by high-level talents and teams, with professional teachers, moral education teams, and management teams as the main body, and part-time teachers as supplements. It currently has 3 provincial first-class majors, 12 provincial first-class courses, 5 provincial key discipline construction majors, and 4 industrial colleges. It is committed to cultivating high-quality applied talents with "four abilities and four possessions" (ability to conduct oneself, work, learn, and live; possession of theory, practice, innovation, and sentiment) who develop morally, intellectually, physically, aesthetically, and laboriously in an all-round way.
