Founded in 1562 and located in Lille, France, the University of Lille is a renowned comprehensive public university. Historically, it was divided into three independent universities in 1968: Lille 1 University (Science and Technology), Lille 2 University (Law and Medicine), and Lille 3 University (Humanities and Social Sciences), before being reunited into the unified University of Lille in 2017.
