Universitas Indonesia (UI) is the oldest and top-ranked comprehensive university in Indonesia, with main campuses located in Depok, West Java, and Central Jakarta. Established in 1849 as a higher education institution during the Dutch East Indies era, it has evolved into Indonesia's premier academic research center after a century of development, particularly excelling in law, engineering, medicine, and other fields. Its Faculty of Law, founded in October 1924 with over a hundred years of educational history, has nurtured numerous legal experts who have played significant roles in Indonesia's nation-building.
