乌海职业技术学院创办于2004年，是经内蒙古自治区人民政府批准成立、国家教育部备案的全日制公办普通高等职业院校，受内蒙古自治区教育厅和乌海市人民政府双重领导，是乌海市唯一一所普通高等职业院校。

Wuhai Vocational and Technical College was founded in 2004. It is a full-time public higher vocational college approved by the People's Government of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and registered with the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China. It is jointly led by the Department of Education of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and the People's Government of Wuhai City, and is the only ordinary higher vocational college in Wuhai City.

学院坐落于美丽的乌海湖畔，主校区占地面积520亩，建筑面积13.57万平方米，固定资产5.72亿元，绿化面积16.33万平方米，运动场地面积8.94万平方米。西部（乌海）职业技能公共实训中心为第二校区，占地面积近600亩，规划建设化工类、机电类、采矿类、发电类、建筑类、管理类、汽修类七个技能实训中心。

The college is located by the beautiful Wuhai Lake. The main campus covers an area of 520 mu, with a building area of 135,700 square meters, fixed assets of 572 million yuan, a green area of 163,300 square meters, and a sports field area of 89,400 square meters. The Western (Wuhai) Public Vocational Skills Training Center is the second campus, covering an area of nearly 600 mu. It is planned to build seven skill training centers for chemical engineering, mechanical and electrical, mining, power generation, construction, management, and automobile repair.

学院立足乌海市、面向内蒙古、辐射中西部，坚持以全日制高等职业学历教育为主体，以电大与成人教育和社会培训为两翼的办学格局，秉持“崇德乐学，尚技强能”的校训，推行政校企合作、课岗证融通、教学做一体的办学育人模式。

Based in Wuhai City, facing Inner Mongolia, and radiating to the central and western regions, the college adheres to the school-running pattern with full-time higher vocational education as the main body, and TVU, adult education and social training as the two wings. It upholds the school motto of "Advocating Virtue and Enjoying Learning, Valuing Skills and Strengthening Abilities", and promotes the school-running and education mode of government-enterprise-school cooperation, integration of courses, posts and certificates, and integration of teaching and doing.

经过近20年的建设，学院已发展成为以工科专业为主，各专业协调发展，集高职教育、继续教育为一体的多科性地方高等职业院校，建成化工、煤炭、机电、电力、建筑、管理、教育、医学等八大类62个高职专业，稳定招生专业数30个左右，现有全日制在校生7000余人，成人教育在校生3200人。

After nearly 20 years of construction, the college has developed into a multi-disciplinary local higher vocational college focusing on engineering majors, with coordinated development of various majors, integrating higher vocational education and continuing education. It has established 62 higher vocational majors in eight categories, including chemical engineering, coal, mechanical and electrical, electric power, construction, management, education, and medicine, with about 30 stable enrollment majors. There are more than 7,000 full-time students and 3,200 adult education students.
