Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan (UAM) is a top-ranked public comprehensive university in Poland, founded in 1519. Its predecessors were the Lubranski Academy and the Jesuit College, and it was renamed in 1955 to honor the great Polish poet Adam Mickiewicz. Ranked among the top three academic institutions in Poland, the university comprises 21 faculties, approximately 3,000 academic staff, and 52,000 students, including over 1,200 international students, making it one of the largest academic centers in Poland.
