河北交通职业技术学院始建于1956年，历经交通部石家庄公路工程学校、河北交通学院和河北交通学校等变迁，2002年升格为高等职业技术学院。学院是全国五一劳动奖状获奖单位、国家优质校、全国创新创业典型经验高校，以“立足交通、面向社会”为办学宗旨，培养适应交通运输行业和区域经济发展的高素质技术技能人才。

Hebei Jiaotong Vocational and Technical College was founded in 1956, undergoing transformations such as Shijiazhuang Highway Engineering School of the Ministry of Communications, Hebei Jiaotong College, and Hebei Jiaotong School. It was upgraded to a higher vocational and technical college in 2002. The college is a national May Day Labor Award winner, a national high-quality college, and a national model college for innovation and entrepreneurship, adhering to the mission of "based on transportation, facing the society" to cultivate high-quality technical talents adapting to the transportation industry and regional economic development.

学院设有土木工程系、汽车工程系、运输管理系等6系3部1分院，开设道路桥梁工程技术、汽车检测与维修技术、城市轨道交通运营管理等49个专业。拥有国家级职业教育教师教学创新团队2个，国家级专业教学资源库1个，学生初次就业率连续多年保持95%以上，80%毕业生成为交通行业技术和管理骨干。

The college has 6 departments, 3 divisions, and 1 branch, including the Department of Civil Engineering, Department of Automotive Engineering, and Department of Transportation Management. It offers 49 majors such as Road and Bridge Engineering Technology, Automobile Inspection and Maintenance Technology, and Urban Rail Transit Operation Management. It has 2 national vocational education teacher teaching innovation teams and 1 national professional teaching resource database. The initial employment rate of students has remained above 95% for many years, with 80% of graduates becoming technical and management backbones in the transportation industry.

学院深化产教融合，与150余家企业建立合作关系，建有国家级协同创新中心、虚拟仿真实训基地等教学科研平台，获省部级科技进步奖4项，社会科学成果奖2项。作为河北省交通职业教育的核心力量，被誉为“河北交通的黄埔军校”。

The college deepens industry-education integration, establishing cooperation with over 150 enterprises. It has built teaching and research platforms such as a national collaborative innovation center and a virtual simulation training base, winning 4 provincial and ministerial science and technology progress awards and 2 social science achievement awards. As a core force in Hebei's transportation vocational education, it is known as the "Huangpu Military Academy of Hebei Transportation".
