安徽信息工程学院是经教育部、安徽省人民政府批准设立，由国内著名智能语音和人工智能上市企业科大讯飞股份有限公司全资举办、安徽省教育厅主管的非营利性民办应用型普通本科高校。前身是2003年6月设立的安徽工程科技学院（现安徽工程大学）机电学院；2012年4月，科大讯飞与安徽工程大学合作举办安徽工程大学机电学院并主导办学；2016年4月，转设为独立设置的全日制普通本科高校，更名为安徽信息工程学院。

Anhui Institute of Information Technology is a non-profit private application-oriented regular undergraduate university approved by the Ministry of Education and the People's Government of Anhui Province. It is fully funded by iFLYTEK Co., Ltd., a renowned domestic listed enterprise specializing in intelligent speech and artificial intelligence, and supervised by the Anhui Provincial Department of Education. Its predecessor was the Mechanical and Electrical College of Anhui University of Engineering Science and Technology (now Anhui Polytechnic University), established in June 2003. In April 2012, iFLYTEK and Anhui Polytechnic University jointly organized the Mechanical and Electrical College of Anhui Polytechnic University with iFLYTEK taking the leading role in school management. In April 2016, it was transformed into an independent full-time regular undergraduate university and renamed Anhui Institute of Information Technology.

学校位于安徽省次中心城市芜湖市，占地面积1200余亩，校舍建筑面积37万余平方米。现有全日制普通本科在校生14300余人，教职工900余人。设有计算机与软件工程学院（大数据与人工智能学院）、电气与电子工程学院、机械工程学院等7个学院及3个中心，开设软件工程、人工智能、机械设计制造及其自动化等24个在招本科专业，形成以工为主，经、管、文、艺协调发展的学科专业布局。

The university is located in Wuhu City, a sub-central city of Anhui Province, covering an area of more than 1200 mu with a school building area of over 370,000 square meters. Currently, it has more than 14,300 full-time undergraduate students and over 900 faculty members. It consists of 7 colleges including the School of Computer and Software Engineering (School of Big Data and Artificial Intelligence), the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, the School of Mechanical Engineering, and 3 centers. It offers 24 undergraduate programs such as Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, and Mechanical Design, Manufacturing and Automation, forming a discipline and professional layout with engineering as the main focus and coordinated development of economics, management, liberal arts, and arts.
