安徽中医药高等专科学校前身为创建于1960年的芜湖市中医学校，2002年经教育部批准独立升格，成为全国同类院校中率先升格的中医药高等专科学校。2006年、2012年，芜湖市中医医院、市口腔医院先后成建制划归学校，形成“一校两附院”的办学格局。学校现为全国中医药职业教育教学指导委员会副主任委员单位、全国首批健康学校建设单位、安徽省双高院校建设单位，正着力创建中医药特色鲜明的应用型本科院校。

Anhui College of Traditional Chinese Medicine (AHTC) traces its roots to Wuhu Traditional Chinese Medicine School founded in 1960. Approved by the Ministry of Education in 2002, it became the first institution of its kind in China to be upgraded to a specialized college of traditional Chinese medicine. In 2006 and 2012, Wuhu Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Wuhu Stomatological Hospital were incorporated into the college, forming a unique "one college with two affiliated hospitals" educational structure. Currently, AHTC serves as the Deputy Director Unit of the National Vocational Education Steering Committee for Traditional Chinese Medicine, a national pilot unit for healthy school construction, and a key higher vocational college in Anhui Province, striving to develop into an application-oriented undergraduate institution with distinctive TCM characteristics.

学校现有弋江、三山两个校区，占地938亩，设有中医学、药学、护理等8个教学系部，开设中医学、针灸推拿、中药学等30个专科专业，实现医学国控专业全覆盖。拥有专任教师559人（含附属医院），其中副高以上职称210人，博士15人；全日制在校生10428人。建有中央财政支持实训基地1个，国家级骨干专业3个，省级高水平专业群、示范实训中心等教学平台46个，下辖2所直属附属医院、130余个实习基地，构建了“医教融合、校院一体”的育人体系。

The college has two campuses (Yijiang and Sanshan) covering 938 mu, housing 8 academic departments including Traditional Chinese Medicine, Pharmacy, and Nursing. It offers 30 specialized programs such as Chinese Medicine, Acupuncture & Moxibustion, and Chinese Materia Medica, covering all nationally controlled medical specialties. The faculty comprises 559 full-time teachers (including affiliated hospitals), with 210 holding senior professional titles and 15 holding doctoral degrees. The college enrolls 10,428 full-time students and features 1 central government-supported training base, 3 national key majors, and 46 provincial-level teaching platforms including high-level professional groups and demonstration training centers. With 2 directly affiliated hospitals and over 130 internship bases, it has established an integrated "medical-educational, college-hospital" talent cultivation system.

学校坚持“厚德、博学、济世、日新”的校训，弘扬中医药文化，深化产教融合，主办《现代中药研究与实践》等核心期刊，建有中医药博物馆、天然药用植物园等教学科研平台，先后荣获“全国中医药职业教育技能大赛团体一等奖”“安徽省高校毕业生就业先进集体”等荣誉，为中医药事业发展培养了4万余名高素质技术技能人才。

Adhering to the motto "Virtue, Erudition, Beneficence, Innovation", AHTC promotes TCM culture and deepens industry-education integration. It sponsors core journals like Modern Research and Practice in Chinese Materia Medica and operates educational research platforms including a TCM museum and a natural medicinal botanical garden. The college has won honors such as the "National TCM Vocational Education Skills Competition Group First Prize" and "Anhui Provincial Advanced Collective for Graduate Employment", having cultivated over 40,000 high-quality technical talents for the development of traditional Chinese medicine.
