安庆师范大学坐落在国家历史文化名城、安徽省安庆市，是一所拥有百年办学历史和鲜明办学特色的省属重点师范大学。学校前身为1897年创办的敬敷书院，后与求是学堂合并为安徽大学堂，开启了近代高等教育的篇章。历经百年发展，学校现已成为一所涵盖文、理、工、经、管、法、教、艺等八大学科门类的综合性大学，形成了“师范性、应用性、地方性”三性统一的办学定位。

Anqing Normal University is located in Anqing City, Anhui Province, a national historical and cultural city. It is a key provincial normal university with a century-long history and distinctive school-running characteristics. The university originated from the Jingfu Academy founded in 1897, which later merged with Qiushi Academy to form Anhui University Hall, opening a new chapter in modern higher education. After a century of development, the university has become a comprehensive university covering eight disciplines including arts, science, engineering, economics, management, law, education, and art, forming a school-running orientation integrating "normal, application-oriented, and local characteristics".

学校现有龙山、菱湖两个校区，校园占地总面积2844亩，建筑面积近100万平方米。设有20个教学学院，72个本科专业，拥有5个一级学科博士学位授权点，18个一级学科硕士学位授权点，17个专业硕士学位授权类别。全日制在校生28000余人，教职工1800余人，其中高级职称人员600余人，博士学位教师800余人，享受国务院政府特殊津贴专家、省级学术技术带头人等各类高层次人才100余人。

The university has two campuses, Longshan and Linghu, covering a total area of 2,844 mu with a building area of nearly 1 million square meters. It has 20 teaching colleges and 72 undergraduate majors, with 5 first-level discipline doctoral degree authorization points, 18 first-level discipline master's degree authorization points, and 17 professional master's degree authorization categories. There are more than 28,000 full-time students and over 1,800 faculty members, including more than 600 with senior professional titles, over 800 with doctoral degrees, and more than 100 high-level talents such as experts enjoying special government allowances from the State Council and provincial academic and technical leaders.

学校始终坚持立德树人根本任务，大力推进教育教学改革，荣获国家级教学成果奖5项，省级教学成果奖60余项。拥有国家级一流本科专业建设点25个，国家级特色专业3个，国家级精品课程、一流本科课程12门。在学科建设方面，马克思主义理论、中国语言文学、化学等学科入选省高峰培育学科、重点学科，形成了一批具有区域特色和优势的学科群。

The university always adheres to the fundamental task of moral education and vigorously promotes education and teaching reform. It has won 5 national teaching achievement awards and more than 60 provincial teaching achievement awards. It has 25 national first-class undergraduate major construction sites, 3 national characteristic majors, and 12 national excellent courses and first-class undergraduate courses. In terms of discipline construction, disciplines such as Marxist Theory, Chinese Language and Literature, and Chemistry have been selected into provincial peak cultivation disciplines and key disciplines, forming a number of discipline groups with regional characteristics and advantages.

作为安徽省基础教育师资培养的重要基地，安庆师范大学始终与地方经济社会发展同频共振，累计为社会培养输送了20余万名各类人才，涌现出一批以“时代楷模”王红旭为代表的优秀校友。学校先后荣获“全国文明单位”“全国创新创业典型经验高校”“全国毕业生就业典型经验高校”等荣誉称号，连续多年被评为安徽省普通高等学校毕业生就业工作标兵单位。

As an important base for cultivating basic education teachers in Anhui Province, Anqing Normal University has always resonated with local economic and social development. It has cultivated and transported more than 200,000 talents of various types for the society, and a number of outstanding alumni represented by "Model of the Times" Wang Hongxu have emerged.
