安徽财经大学是一所以经济学、管理学、法学为主，跨文学、理学、工学、艺术学七大学科门类的多科性财经大学，是安徽省重点建设的大学。学校始建于1959年5月，历经安徽财贸学院、安徽财经大学等发展阶段，2004年5月，经教育部批准，学校更名为安徽财经大学。

Anhui University of Finance and Economics is a multidisciplinary financial university focusing on economics, management, and law, and spanning seven disciplines including literature, science, engineering, and art. It is a key university in Anhui Province. Founded in May 1959, the university has gone through development stages such as Anhui Institute of Finance and Trade and Anhui University of Finance and Economics. In May 2004, with the approval of the Ministry of Education, the university was renamed Anhui University of Finance and Economics.

学校现有蚌埠龙湖东、龙湖西两个校区和合肥高等研究院，占地面积总面积1495.85亩，校舍建筑面积68.94万平方米，教学科研仪器设备总值3.02亿元，馆藏纸质图书200.73万册，电子图书376.13万册，中外文期刊1891种。学校设有13个学院，1个教学部，1个独立学院，共57个本科专业，拥有8个一级学科硕士学位授权点，36个二级学科硕士学位授权点，14个专业硕士学位授权点。

The university currently has two campuses (Longhu East and Longhu West) in Bengbu and the Hefei Institute for Advanced Study, covering a total area of 1495.85 mu. The school building area is 689,400 square meters, the total value of teaching and research instruments and equipment is 302 million yuan, the collection of paper books is 2,007,300 volumes, electronic books are 3,761,300 volumes, and 1,891 Chinese and foreign periodicals. The university has 13 schools, 1 teaching department, and 1 independent college, with a total of 57 undergraduate majors. It has 8 first-level discipline master's degree authorization points, 36 second-level discipline master's degree authorization points, and 14 professional master's degree authorization points.

学校坚持以人才培养为中心，不断深化教育教学改革，着力培养高素质应用型人才。近年来，学校获得国家级教学成果奖2项，省级教学成果奖50余项；拥有国家级一流本科专业建设点21个，省级一流本科专业建设点19个；国家级一流本科课程14门，省级一流本科课程121门。学校重视科学研究和社会服务，设有26个科研机构，近年来承担省部级以上科研项目500余项，其中国家级项目100余项，获得省部级以上科研奖励50余项。
