保定理工学院前身为中国地质大学长城学院，2005年4月经教育部批准设立，由中国地质大学（北京）与保定贺阳教育投资有限公司合作举办，2018年转设更名为保定理工学院。学校地处河北省保定市，校园占地面积114.12万平方米，建筑总面积53.4万平方米，校园环境幽雅，教学与生活设施完善。

Baoding University of Technology, formerly known as the Great Wall College of China University of Geosciences, was approved by the Ministry of Education in April 2005. It was co-founded by China University of Geosciences (Beijing) and Baoding Heyang Education Investment Co., Ltd. and renamed Baoding University of Technology in 2018. Located in Baoding City, Hebei Province, the university covers an area of 1.1412 million square meters with a total building area of 534,000 square meters, featuring a serene campus environment and well-equipped teaching and living facilities.

学校秉承“艰苦朴素，求真务实”的校训，坚持“特色立校、质量兴校、人才强校”的办学理念，以培养高素质应用技术型人才为目标，立足京津冀，面向全国。设有9个二级教学单位，开设42个本科专业，形成以地学为特色，工科为主体，理、经、管、文、艺、教育等多学科协调发展的学科专业结构。

It has 9 secondary teaching units and offers 42 undergraduate majors, forming a discipline structure with geoscience as the feature, engineering as the main body, and coordinated development of science, economics, management, literature, art, education and other disciplines.

学校拥有近千人师资队伍，省级一流专业7个，省级一流课程立项8个，教育部产学合作育人项目5个。推行“2.5+1.5”人才培养模式与准军校式管理，注重学生实践能力与综合素质培养。近三年教师承担市厅级以上科研课题75项，发表高水平论文329余篇，荣获省级教学成果奖5项。

The university has a faculty of nearly 1,000 people, with 7 provincial first-class majors, 8 provincial first-class course projects, and 5 industry-education integration projects of the Ministry of Education. It implements the "2.5+1.5" talent training model and quasi-military academy management, focusing on cultivating students' practical ability and comprehensive quality. In the past three years, teachers have undertaken 75 scientific research projects at or above the municipal level, published more than 329 high-level papers, and won 5 provincial teaching achievement awards.
