北京电影学院是中国唯一、亚洲最大、世界知名的电影专业院校，被誉为“中国电影人才的摇篮”。学校始建于1950年，前身是中央电影局表演艺术研究所，历经发展，于1956年改制为北京电影学院。作为教育部直属高校，学校以培养电影创作、理论、技术等领域的专业人才为核心，涵盖编剧、导演、表演、摄影、美术、录音、管理等多个学科，形成了覆盖电影全产业链的学科体系。

Beijing Film Academy is the only film academy in China, the largest in Asia, and a world-renowned institution specializing in film education, known as "the cradle of Chinese film talents". Founded in 1950, its predecessor was the Performing Arts Research Institute of the Central Film Bureau, which was reorganized into Beijing Film Academy in 1956. As a university directly under the Ministry of Education, the academy focuses on cultivating professionals in film creation, theory, and technology, covering screenwriting, directing, acting, cinematography, art, sound recording, management, and other disciplines, forming a disciplinary system that spans the entire film industry chain.
