北京信息职业技术学院创建于1954年，前身为华北第四工业学校，历经北京无线电工业学校等发展阶段，1999年由北京无线电工业学校与北京成人电子信息大学合并组建为高职院校，2003年又整合北京市计算机工业学校、北京市电子工业学校等资源，2021年北京市电子工业干部学校（北京市电子工业党校）并入，办学规模持续扩大。学校隶属于北京电子控股有限责任公司，现有校本部、东坝、花乡等五个校区，总占地面积350亩，建筑面积24万平方米，教职工705人，专任教师360人，在校生7000余人，开设集成电路、人工智能、大数据等信息技术领域相关专业，形成了以电子信息大类为核心的专业布局。

Beijing Information Technology College was founded in 1954, formerly known as North China No.4 Industrial School. It went through development stages such as Beijing Radio Industry School. In 1999, it was merged from Beijing Radio Industry School and Beijing Adult Electronic Information University into a higher vocational college. In 2003, it further integrated resources from Beijing Computer Industry School and Beijing Electronic Industry School. In 2021, Beijing Electronic Industry Cadre School (Beijing Electronic Industry Party School) was merged into the college, continuously expanding its school-running scale. Affiliated to Beijing Electronics Holding Co., Ltd., the college currently has five campuses including the main campus, Dongba and Huaxiang, with a total area of 350 mu, a building area of 240,000 square meters, 705 faculty members, 360 full-time teachers and more than 7,000 students. It offers majors related to information technology fields such as integrated circuits, artificial intelligence and big data, forming a professional layout with electronic information as the core category.

学校是国家示范骨干高职院校、国家双高计划建设单位、北京市特色高水平职业院校，先后荣获全国普通高校毕业生就业工作先进集体、黄炎培优秀学校等称号。依托行业办学优势，深化产教融合校企合作，牵头成立北京电子信息职业教育集团、全国信息安全产教融合共同体，建有46个校内实践基地和420处校外实习基地，重点培养服务新一代信息技术产业的高素质技术技能人才，已为社会输送大批电子信息领域专业人才，被誉为“培养电子工业技术人才的摇篮”。

The college is a national demonstration backbone higher vocational college, a construction unit of National Double-high Program and a Beijing characteristic high-level vocational college. It has successively won titles such as National Advanced Collective for Employment Work of College Graduates and Huang Yanpei Excellent School. Relying on the advantages of industry-run schools, it deepens industry-education integration and school-enterprise cooperation, takes the lead in establishing Beijing Electronic Information Vocational Education Group and National Information Security Industry-Education Integration Community, and has built 46 on-campus practice bases and 420 off-campus internship bases. Focusing on cultivating high-quality technical and skilled talents serving the new generation of information technology industry, it has delivered a large number of professionals in the electronic information field to the society and is known as "the cradle of cultivating electronic industry technical talents".
