北京警察学院是经教育部批准设立、北京市人民政府主办、北京市公安局为行政主管、北京市教育委员会为教育主管的全日制本科普通院校。学院是北京市公安局的重要组成部分，其前身可追溯至1949年4月成立的北平市人民政府公安局公安学校，2006年在北京人民警察学院基础上建立北京警察学院，2015年获得学士学位授予权。作为首都应用型警务人才培养基地、公安理论与实践研究基地及在职民警培训基地，学院同时承担国家机关事务管理局专车驾驶员培训、公安部外警培训和警务驾驶训练等任务，被誉为“首都警官的摇篮”。

Beijing Police College is a full-time undergraduate public institution approved by the Ministry of Education, sponsored by the Beijing Municipal People's Government, administratively supervised by the Beijing Municipal Public Security Bureau, and educationally overseen by the Beijing Municipal Education Commission. As an integral part of the Beijing Municipal Public Security Bureau, its predecessor can be traced back to the Public Security School of the Public Security Bureau of the Beiping Municipal People's Government established in April 1949. It was officially founded as Beijing Police College on the basis of the Beijing People's Police College in 2006 and obtained the right to grant bachelor's degrees in 2015. Serving as the capital's base for applied police talent cultivation, public security theory and practice research, and in-service police training, the college also undertakes training programs for special vehicle drivers of the National Government Offices Administration, foreign police training of the Ministry of Public Security, and police driving training, known as "the cradle of capital police officers."

学院以法学和工学为基础，聚焦公安学与公安技术两个一级学科，开设侦查学、治安学、刑事科学技术、公安管理学、涉外警务、交通管理工程、网络安全与执法等7个本科专业。其中网络安全与执法专业获评“北京市属高校一流专业”，治安学专业为公安部全国公安高等教育重点专业（培育点），“警务车辆特种驾驶技术”课程入选国家级精品课程。学院坐落于北京市昌平区南口镇虎峪风景区，占地面积75.88万平方米，拥有DNA检验、情报分析等国内领先的公安实验室，以及体能技能训练场馆、特色警务技战术训练场等完备设施，为教学科研和实战训练提供有力支撑。

Based on law and engineering, the college focuses on two first-level disciplines: Public Security Studies and Public Security Technology, offering 7 undergraduate majors including Investigation Studies, Public Security Studies, Forensic Science and Technology, Public Security Management, International Police Affairs, Traffic Management Engineering, and Cybersecurity and Law Enforcement. Among these, the Cybersecurity and Law Enforcement major has been rated as a "First-Class Major of Beijing Municipal Colleges and Universities," the Public Security Studies major is a key major (cultivation site) for national public security higher education by the Ministry of Public Security, and the course "Special Driving Technology for Police Vehicles" has been selected as a national quality course. Located in the Huyu Scenic Area of Nankou Town, Changping District, Beijing, the college covers an area of 758,800 square meters, equipped with domestically leading public security laboratories for DNA testing and intelligence analysis, as well as comprehensive facilities such as physical fitness training venues and characteristic police tactical training grounds, providing strong support for teaching, research, and practical training.

学院始终坚持“为党育人、为国育才、为警铸剑”根本任务，构建具有首都特色与公安特色的思政育人体系，将忠诚教育融入教育教学全过程。通过邀请英模校友宣讲、开展红色研学实践、打造仪式教育活动等方式，强化学生政治忠诚与职业素养。近年来，学院持续深化校局合作，与北京市公安局等实战部门共建19个校外实践教育基地，推动理论教学与公安实战深度融合。建校以来已为各级公安机关培养输送毕业生近4万人，涌现出大批英雄模范和优秀领导干部，为首都公安事业发展提供了坚实的人才保障。

Adhering to the fundamental mission of "Cultivating Talents for the Party, the Country, and the Police," the college has built an ideological and political education system with capital and public security characteristics, integrating loyalty education into the entire educational process. It strengthens students' political loyalty and professional literacy through activities such as inviting model alumni to give lectures, organizing red research practices, and creating ceremonial education events. In recent years, the college has continuously deepened university-police cooperation, establishing 19 off-campus practical education bases with practical departments such as the Beijing Municipal Public Security Bureau to promote in-depth integration of theoretical teaching and public security practice. Since its establishment, it has trained and transported nearly 40,000 graduates to public security organs at all levels, nurturing a large number of heroes, models, and outstanding leading cadres, providing solid talent support for the development of the capital's public security cause.
