北京交通职业技术学院是由昌平区人民政府举办，北京市教委主管、教育部备案的全日制普通高等职业学校。学院前身为1984年成立的北方交通大学昌平分校，1999年更名为北方交通大学高等职业技术学院，2005年1月经北京市人民政府批准独立设置为现名。学院以高等职业教育为主，同时开展继续教育、技能培训与鉴定等教育服务，致力于培养适应城市建设与交通行业发展需求的高素质技术技能人才。

Beijing Jiaotong Vocational and Technical College is a full-time public higher vocational college sponsored by the Changping District People's Government, supervised by the Beijing Municipal Education Commission, and registered with the Ministry of Education. Formerly established as the Changping Branch of Northern Jiaotong University in 1984, it was renamed the Higher Vocational and Technical College of Northern Jiaotong University in 1999 and approved by the Beijing Municipal People's Government to become an independent institution under its current name in January 2005. The college focuses on higher vocational education while providing continuing education, skill training, and certification services, dedicated to cultivating high-quality technical talents to meet the development needs of urban construction and transportation industries.

学院占地面积约19万平方米，建筑面积10万余平方米，位于北京市昌平区西关环岛向西一公里。设有路桥系、轨道交通系、汽车系、管理系和基础部五个教学系（部），开设普通高职专业27个，形成数字城市建设与管理类、轨道交通类、数字艺术类、汽车计算机类、城市服务类5大专业群。其中，城市轨道交通专业群获批北京市特色高水平骨干专业群，2019年成为教育部首批"1+X"证书项目试点院校。学院建有专业群实习实训中心11个，其中国家级财政支持实训中心3个，北京市特色高水平实训基地2个，校外产学合作企业实习基地52个，为学生实践能力培养提供坚实保障。

Covering an area of approximately 190,000 square meters with a building area of over 100,000 square meters, the college is located one kilometer west of Xiguan Roundabout in Changping District, Beijing. It comprises five teaching departments: Road and Bridge Engineering, Rail Transit, Automotive Engineering, Management, and Basic Courses. The college offers 27 regular higher vocational programs, forming five major professional groups: Digital Urban Construction and Management, Rail Transit, Digital Art, Automotive and Computer Technology, and Urban Services. Among these, the Urban Rail Transit professional group has been approved as a Beijing Municipal Characteristic High-level Key Professional Group. In 2019, the college became one of the first pilot institutions for the "1+X" certificate program by the Ministry of Education. It has established 11 professional group实习实训 centers, including 3 national finance-supported training centers, 2 Beijing municipal characteristic high-level training bases, and 52 off-campus internship bases with industry-university cooperation enterprises, providing solid support for students' practical ability training.
