保山职业学院是由保山市人民政府举办的专科层次全日制公办普通高等职业学校，2022年3月经云南省政府批准组建，2023年1月通过教育部备案，同年9月正式招生。学院占地482亩，建筑面积22.5万平方米，位于保山市隆阳区永盛街道大堡子社区，致力于培养服务滇西经济社会发展的高素质技术技能人才。

Baoshan Vocational College is a full-time public higher vocational school at the junior college level sponsored by the Baoshan Municipal People's Government. Approved by the Yunnan Provincial Government in March 2022 and filed by the Ministry of Education in January 2023, the college officially started enrollment in September 2023. Covering an area of 482 mu with a construction area of 225,000 square meters, it is located in Dapuzi Community, Yongsheng Street, Longyang District, Baoshan City, dedicated to cultivating high-quality technical and skilled talents serving the economic and social development of western Yunnan.

学院首批开设烹饪工艺与营养、食品智能加工技术、智能机电技术等6个专业，规划构建绿色食品、现代工业、商贸旅游、民族餐饮、康养服务5大专业群。其发展愿景为“3年达标准、5年成规模、8年创双高”，目标建成滇西有特色、国内有影响、辐射南亚东南亚的区域性国际化高等职业院校。

The college initially offered 6 majors including Cooking Technology and Nutrition, Food Intelligent Processing Technology, and Intelligent Electromechanical Technology, planning to build 5 professional groups covering green food, modern industry, commerce and tourism, ethnic catering, and health care services. With the development vision of "meeting standards in 3 years, reaching scale in 5 years, and creating 'Double High-Level' in 8 years", it aims to become a regional and international higher vocational college with characteristics in western Yunnan, influence in China, and radiation to South and Southeast Asia.
