北京艺术传媒职业学院及其前身成立于1994年，是经北京市人民政府批准、教育部备案，具有独立颁发学历文凭资格的综合性艺术传媒类民办普通高等学校。2013年12月，经北京市教委批准，学院由原“北京新圆明职业学院”更名为现用名，以艺术与传媒学科并列发展为办学特色。

Beijing Art and Media Vocational College and its predecessor were founded in 1994. It is a comprehensive private higher education institution specializing in art and media, approved by the Beijing Municipal People's Government and registered with the Ministry of Education, with the qualification to independently issue academic diplomas. In December 2013, approved by the Beijing Municipal Education Commission, the college was renamed from the former "Beijing New Yuanming Vocational College" to its current name, featuring the parallel development of art and media disciplines.

学院秉承“以老庄为友，以孔孟为友，更以智慧为友”的校训，弘扬“无私奉献、忠诚爱国、坚韧不拔”的大学精神，坚持“以德治教、育人为本”的办学理念。目前设有表演、设计、美术、传媒四大学科，开设舞蹈表演、艺术设计、美术（国画方向）、新闻采编与制作等17个专业，致力于培养具备扎实理论基础与实践能力的高素质艺术应用型人才。

The college adheres to the school motto of "Be friends with Laozi and Zhuangzi, with Confucius and Mencius, and more with wisdom", promotes the university spirit of "selfless dedication, loyal patriotism, and perseverance", and adheres to the educational philosophy of "governing education by virtue and educating people as the foundation". Currently, it has four disciplines: Performance, Design, Fine Arts, and Media, offering 17 majors such as Dance Performance, Art Design, Fine Arts (Traditional Chinese Painting), and News Editing and Production, committed to cultivating high-quality artistic applied talents with solid theoretical foundation and practical ability.

学院位于北京市海淀区中关村科技园区，校园占地200余亩，建筑面积约5万平方米。依托50余名著名艺术家、院士及专家学者组成的顾问与学科带头人团队，构建了人文素养与专业技能并重的教育体系，努力建设成为北京民办高校中具有示范作用的特色院校。

Located in the Zhongguancun Science and Technology Park, Haidian District, Beijing, the college covers an area of more than 200 mu with a building area of about 50,000 square meters. Relying on a team of more than 50 famous artists, academicians, experts and scholars as consultants and discipline leaders, it has built an education system that emphasizes both humanistic literacy and professional skills, striving to become a characteristic college with a demonstration role among Beijing's private colleges and universities.
