白银矿冶职业技术学院坐落于中国有色金属工业基地“铜城”——甘肃白银，是一所综合性公办普通高等院校，加挂甘肃有色金属技师学院牌子，实行“一套机构、两块牌子”管理模式。学校前身为1958年创立的白银公司技工学校和1984年创立的白银有色金属职工大学，2011年经甘肃省人民政府批准正式成立，2021年整合甘肃省靖远师范学校、白银市工业学校后，形成中高职一体化办学格局，现为甘肃省“双高计划”立项建设单位。

Baiyin Vocational College of Mining and Metallurgy is located in Baiyin, Gansu Province, known as the "Copper City" and a major base for China's non-ferrous metal industry. As a comprehensive public higher vocational college, it also operates under the name Gansu Non-ferrous Metal Technician College with an integrated management system. Its origins trace back to the Baiyin Company Technical School (founded 1958) and Baiyin Non-ferrous Metal Workers' University (founded 1984). Officially established in 2011 with approval from the Gansu Provincial People's Government, it integrated Gansu Jingyuan Normal School and Baiyin Industrial School in 2021, forming an integrated vocational education system covering secondary and higher vocational levels. It is currently a key construction unit under Gansu's "Double High-Level Plan" for vocational education.

学校设南北两个校区，占地830余亩，建筑面积32万平方米，教学科研仪器设备总值1.2亿元，馆藏纸质图书42万册。现有教职工485人，其中教授、副教授135人，“双师型”教师360人，建有国家级技能大师工作室等教学平台。开设30个高职专科专业，形成以矿产资源开发、有色冶金为特色，机电制造、学前教育为优势的专业集群，在校生1万余人，毕业生就业率常年稳定在95%以上，是国家级高技能人才培训基地、教育部职业教育“走出去”首批试点院校。

The college has two campuses (North and South) covering over 830 mu (55 hectares) with 320,000 square meters of building space. Teaching and research equipment is valued at 120 million yuan, with 420,000 paper books in its collection. The faculty of 485 includes 135 professors and associate professors, along with 360 "dual-qualification" teachers (combining academic and industry expertise). It features national-level skill master studios and offers 30 higher vocational programs, forming a discipline cluster with strengths in mineral resource development, non-ferrous metallurgy, mechanical-electrical manufacturing, and preschool education. With over 10,000 students, it maintains a graduate employment rate above 95%. It is a national high-skilled talent training base and one of the first pilot vocational colleges selected by the Ministry of Education for international education cooperation under the "Going Out" initiative.
