中国民用航空飞行学院创建于1956年，是中国民用航空局直属的全日制普通高等学校，被誉为“中国民航飞行员的摇篮”“中国民航管理干部的黄埔”。学校历经60余年发展，已成为全球民航职业飞行员培养规模最大、能力最强、水平最高的高等学府之一，为中国民航事业培养了70%以上的飞行员、80%以上的机长和90%以上的功勋飞行员。

Founded in 1956, Civil Aviation Flight University of China (CAFUC) is a full-time public higher education institution directly under the Civil Aviation Administration of China. Known as "the cradle of Chinese civil aviation pilots" and "the Whampoa Military Academy for Chinese civil aviation management cadres", CAFUC has developed over 60 years into one of the world's largest, most capable, and highest-level institutions for civil aviation professional pilot training. It has cultivated over 70% of China's civil aviation pilots, more than 80% of captains, and over 90% of meritorious pilots for China's civil aviation industry.

学校主校区位于四川省广汉市，拥有广汉、绵阳、新津、遂宁、洛阳五个飞行训练分院，以及广汉、绵阳、洛阳三个机场。教学设施涵盖先进的飞行模拟训练系统、空中交通管制模拟系统、机务维修实训中心等，形成了集理论教学、飞行训练、科研实验于一体的完整教育体系。学科专业以工科为主，涵盖飞行技术、航空工程、空中交通管理、机场运行与管理等民航特色领域，其中飞行技术专业为国家级一流本科专业建设点。

The university's main campus is located in Guanghan City, Sichuan Province, with five flight training branches in Guanghan, Mianyang, Xinjin, Suining, and Luoyang, as well as three airports in Guanghan, Mianyang, and Luoyang. Teaching facilities include advanced flight simulation training systems, air traffic control simulation systems, and aircraft maintenance training centers, forming a complete educational system integrating theoretical teaching, flight training, and scientific research experiments. With engineering as its main discipline, the university covers civil aviation特色 fields such as flight technology, aviation engineering, air traffic management, and airport operation and management, among which flight technology is a national first-class undergraduate program construction site.
