Changchun Guanghua University was founded in 2000 and was approved by the Ministry of Education to transform into a private general undergraduate university in 2013. In 2015, it was rated as a pilot university for the overall transformation of application-oriented undergraduate institutions in Jilin Province. In 2017, it became a project-construction unit for master's degree authorization in Jilin Province. In 2019, it passed the undergraduate teaching qualification assessment of the Ministry of Education and was awarded as a demonstration university for transformation and development in Jilin Province. In 2020, it was rated as a demonstration university for undergraduate talent training reform in Jilin Province. With the school motto of "Aspiration, Erudition, Integrity, Innovation", the university is committed to cultivating high-quality application-oriented talents with all-round development of morality, intelligence, physical education, aesthetics and labor. Its comprehensive strength ranks among the top private universities in China, ranking 10th in the 2024艾瑞深 Alumni Association China Private University Rankings (Category II), and has been ranked among the top application-oriented universities in China for four consecutive years.
学校设有14个院(部),涵盖经、管、工、文、艺、理、教育7个学科门类,开设45个本科专业和8个专科专业,全日制在校生近1.3万人。拥有国家级一流本科专业建设点3个、国家级一流本科课程2门,省级科研平台31个,形成了工程、艺术、经管和文学四大专业群及工、艺、商三个优势特色学科。师资队伍由国务院特殊津贴获得者、全国优秀教师等领衔,自有高级职称教师占比41.6%,具有硕士及以上学位教师占92.2%,与多所高校联合培养硕士研究生,已培养8届毕业生。
The university has 14 colleges (departments), covering 7 disciplines including economics, management, engineering, literature, art, science and education, offering 45 undergraduate majors and 8 junior college majors, with nearly 13,000 full-time students. It has 3 national first-class undergraduate major construction sites, 2 national first-class undergraduate courses, and 31 provincial-level scientific research platforms, forming four major professional groups of engineering, art, economics and management, and literature, as well as three advantageous and characteristic disciplines of engineering, art and business. The faculty is led by recipients of special government allowances from the State Council, national excellent teachers, etc. Self-owned senior professional title teachers account for 41.6%, and teachers with master's degree or above account for 92.2%. It has jointly trained postgraduate students with many universities and has trained 8 batches of graduates.
