长春中医药大学肇始于1950年成立的长春市立中医进修学校，前身是1958年成立的长春中医学院，2006年更名为长春中医药大学。学校是吉林省省属重点大学、国家中西部高校基础能力建设工程高校、吉林省人民政府和国家中医药管理局共建高校、吉林省特色高水平大学建设高校。

Changchun University of Chinese Medicine originated from Changchun Municipal TCM Training School founded in 1950, with its predecessor being Changchun College of Traditional Chinese Medicine established in 1958. It was renamed Changchun University of Chinese Medicine in 2006. The university is a key provincial university in Jilin Province, a university under the National Midwestern University Basic Capacity Building Project, a joint university co-constructed by the People's Government of Jilin Province and the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and a university under the Jilin Provincial Characteristic High-Level University Construction Project.

学校秉承“启古纳今、厚德精术”的校训精神，坚持以中医药为主，医、工、管、法、文等多学科协调发展。现有一级学科博士后流动站2个，一级学科博士学位授予点3个，博士专业学位授予点1个，一级学科硕士学位授予点6个，硕士专业学位授予点7个。拥有ESI全球前1%学科2个，国家级一流专业建设点7个，国家级特色专业建设点4个。

Adhering to the school motto of "Inheriting Ancient Wisdom and Embracing Modern Knowledge, Cultivating Virtue and Mastering Skills", the university insists on taking traditional Chinese medicine as the main focus and coordinated development of multiple disciplines such as medicine, engineering, management, law, and literature. It currently has 2 mobile post-doctoral stations for first-level disciplines, 3 first-level discipline doctoral degree authorization points, 1 professional doctoral degree authorization point, 6 first-level discipline master's degree authorization points, and 7 professional master's degree authorization points. It has 2 disciplines ranked in the top 1% of ESI globally, 7 national first-class professional construction sites, and 4 national characteristic professional construction sites.

学校师资力量雄厚，拥有院士、国医大师、全国名中医等国家级人才计划入选者73人（次），博士生导师196人，硕士生导师766人。全日制在校生15859人，其中本科生12088人，硕士研究生3072人，博士研究生551人，国际学生43人。建有直属附属医院3所，非直属附属医院10所，其中三级甲等中医医院2所，三级综合医院1所，为人才培养和社会服务提供坚实保障。

The university boasts a strong faculty, with 73 (person-times) national-level talent program recipients including academicians, national TCM masters, and national famous TCM doctors, 196 doctoral supervisors, and 766 master supervisors. There are 15,859 full-time students, including 12,088 undergraduates, 3,072 master students, 551 doctoral students, and 43 international students. It has 3 directly affiliated hospitals and 10 non-directly affiliated hospitals, including 2 Grade III Class A TCM hospitals and 1 Grade III general hospital, providing solid guarantees for talent cultivation and social services.
