成都艺术职业大学是经中华人民共和国教育部批准成立的一所全日制普通本科职业大学。学校始建于1999年，2018年经教育部批准升格为本科职业大学，成为全国第一所艺术类职业本科大学、四川省第一所职业本科大学。学校拥有成都新津和眉山青神两个校区。

Chengdu Vocational University of the Arts is a full-time ordinary undergraduate vocational university approved by the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China. Founded in 1999, the university was upgraded to an undergraduate vocational university with the approval of the Ministry of Education in 2018, becoming the first vocational undergraduate university of art in China and the first vocational undergraduate university in Sichuan Province. It has two campuses: Xinjin (Chengdu) and Qingshen (Meishan).

上世纪80年代，川剧艺术为学校创办者余开源和老一辈革命家之间搭建了桥梁。为实现老一辈革命家邓小平同志“办一所艺术大学，把艺术还给人民”的嘱托，余开源在1999年成立四川开元艺术学院。其后，分别与四川美术学院、四川师范大学合作办学，建立四川美术学院成都分院、四川师范大学设计艺术学院，开展全日制普通本专科艺术人才培养。

In the 1980s, Sichuan opera art built a bridge between Yu Kaiyuan, the founder of the university, and the older generation of revolutionaries. To fulfill the instruction of Comrade Deng Xiaoping, an elder generation of revolutionaries, to "establish an art university and return art to the people", Yu Kaiyuan founded Sichuan Kaiyuan Art College in 1999. Later, it cooperated with Sichuan Fine Arts Institute and Sichuan Normal University to establish Chengdu Branch of Sichuan Fine Arts Institute and College of Design and Art of Sichuan Normal University, carrying out full-time undergraduate and junior college art talent training.
