承德医学院是一所河北省属公办全日制普通本科高等医学院校，坐落在历史文化名城——承德市。学校创建于1945年9月，时称冀东军区卫生学校，历经多次更名与发展，1982年定名为承德医学院。2001年原河北省农林科学院特产蚕桑研究所并入，2006年整体迁入新校区并开始招收留学生，2024年获批博士学位授予立项建设单位。建校80年来，始终扎根塞外，培养了6万余名毕业生，为国家医疗卫生事业发展作出积极贡献。

Chengde Medical University is a public full-time ordinary undergraduate medical institution affiliated to Hebei Province, located in Chengde, a famous historical and cultural city. Founded in September 1945 as the Health School of Jidong Military Region, the university has undergone several name changes and developments, and was officially named Chengde Medical University in 1982. In 2001, the Sericulture Research Institute of Hebei Academy of Agricultural and Forestry Sciences was merged into the university. In 2006, it moved to the new campus and began enrolling international students. In 2024, it was approved as a doctoral degree-granting project construction unit. Over the past 80 years since its establishment, the university has been rooted in the northern frontier and has cultivated more than 60,000 graduates, making positive contributions to the development of national medical and health undertakings.

学校现有21个本科专业，其中国家级一流本科专业建设点2个、国家级特色专业2个，省级一流本科专业建设点9个。拥有硕士学位授权一级学科5个，涵盖36个二级学科；硕士专业学位类别5个，涵盖39个专业领域。2023年临床医学学科首次进入ESI学科世界排名前1%。现有教职工1946人（含直属附属医院），其中专业技术人员1671人，正高职称250人、副高职称560人，博士193人、硕士1161人，博士研究生导师6人，硕士研究生导师1158人。

The university currently offers 21 undergraduate programs, including 2 national-level first-class undergraduate program construction sites, 2 national-level characteristic specialties, and 9 provincial-level first-class undergraduate program construction sites. It has 5 first-level disciplines authorized for master's degrees, covering 36 second-level disciplines, and 5 categories of professional master's degrees, covering 39 professional fields. In 2023, the clinical medicine discipline entered the top 1% of ESI global rankings for the first time. The university has 1,946 faculty members (including affiliated hospitals), among whom 1,671 are professional and technical personnel, 250 with senior professional titles, 560 with deputy senior professional titles, 193 doctors, 1,161 masters, 6 doctoral supervisors, and 1,158 master supervisors.

学校坚持开放办学，先后与丹麦哥本哈根大学等10余所国外知名高校及医疗机构建立友好合作关系，聘请20余名国内外知名学者为客座教授，其中5位外籍院士为特聘教授。拥有直属附属医院1所、非隶属附属医院9所、教学医院36所，教学床位数4万余张，图书馆馆藏中外文纸质图书118万册，电子图书累计289万册，为教学科研提供坚实支撑。

Adhering to open education, the university has established friendly cooperative relations with more than 10 well-known foreign universities and medical institutions, including the University of Copenhagen in Denmark. It has invited more than 20 well-known domestic and foreign scholars as visiting professors, including 5 foreign academicians as distinguished professors. The university has 1 directly affiliated hospital, 9 non-affiliated hospitals, and 36 teaching hospitals, with more than 40,000 teaching beds. The library has a collection of 1.18 million Chinese and foreign paper books and 2.89 million e-books, providing solid support for teaching and scientific research.
