中央财经大学是教育部直属的全国重点大学，是国家“双一流”建设、“211工程”建设高校，被誉为“中国财经管理专家的摇篮”。学校始建于1949年11月6日，历经中央税务学校、中央财政学院、中央财经学院、中央财政金融学院等发展阶段，1996年更名为中央财经大学，2000年由财政部划转教育部直属管理。

Central University of Finance and Economics (CUFE) is a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education. It is a "Double First-Class" and "Project 211" university, known as "the cradle of China's financial and economic management experts". Founded on November 6, 1949, the university has gone through stages of development such as the Central Taxation School, Central Finance Institute, Central College of Finance and Economics, and Central Institute of Finance and Banking. It was renamed Central University of Finance and Economics in 1996 and came under the direct administration of the Ministry of Education in 2000.
