昌吉学院位于新疆天山北坡经济带、乌昌石城市群核心发展区、丝绸之路经济带新疆核心区——美丽的昌吉市，距离乌鲁木齐国际机场18公里，自1959年立校至今有65年的办学历史，2001年5月被教育部和新疆维吾尔自治区人民政府批准为区属高等本科院校。学校现有教职工1716人，其中专任教师1241人，具有高级职称496人。获国务院特殊津贴8人，国家万人计划领军人才、文化名家暨四个一批人才、教学名师7人，自治区教学名师、教学能手8人，自治区天山英才、天山雪松、文化名家暨四个一批人才15人。现有全日制在校生32199人，其中硕士研究生288人，本科生25743人、专科生6168人。

Changji University is located in the beautiful Changji City, which is part of the economic belt on the northern slope of the Tianshan Mountains in Xinjiang, the core development zone of the Urumqi-Changji-Shihezi urban agglomeration, and the core area of the Silk Road Economic Belt in Xinjiang. It is 18 kilometers away from Urumqi International Airport. Founded in 1959, the university has a 65-year history of running schools. In May 2001, it was approved by the Ministry of Education and the People's Government of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region as a regional higher undergraduate institution. The university currently has 1,716 faculty members, including 1,241 full-time teachers, with 496 holding senior professional titles. There are 8 recipients of the Special Government Allowance of the State Council, 7 national-level talents including those from the "Ten Thousand Talents Program", cultural masters and "Four Batches" talents, and national teaching masters. Additionally, there are 8 autonomous region-level teaching masters and teaching experts, and 15 autonomous region-level talents such as "Tianshan Talents", "Tianshan Cedars", cultural masters and "Four Batches" talents. The university has 32,199 full-time students, including 288 postgraduates, 25,743 undergraduates, and 6,168 junior college students.

学校现有两个校区，占地面积80.60万平方米。其中，新城校区67.67万平方米、园丁校区12.93万平方米。现有各类教学科研仪器、设备总值16378.44万元，纸质图书170.195万余册，电子图书188.935万余册。学校设有15个二级教学单位，共76个本、专科专业（其中51个本科专业，25个专科专业），专业覆盖工学、理学、经济学、法学、教育学、文学、管理学、艺术学八个学科门类。学校于2012年获批教育部特需项目建设单位，2013年开始招收工程硕士专业学位研究生，2018年获批硕士学位授予单位，现拥有材料与化工、教育2个专业学位硕士授权点。

The university has two campuses covering a total area of 806,000 square meters, with the Xincheng Campus spanning 676,700 square meters and the Yuanding Campus 129,300 square meters. The total value of various teaching and research instruments and equipment is 163.7844 million yuan, with over 1.70195 million paper books and 1.88935 million e-books in the library. The university comprises 15 secondary teaching units offering 76 undergraduate and junior college programs (including 51 undergraduate programs and 25 junior college programs), covering eight disciplines: engineering, science, economics, law, education, literature, management, and art. Approved as a construction unit for the Ministry of Education's "Special Needs Program" in 2012, it began enrolling master's degree students in engineering in 2013 and was accredited as a master's degree-granting institution in 2018. Currently, it has 2 professional master's degree authorization points: Materials and Chemical Engineering, and Education.
