中国计量大学现代科技学院于1999年经浙江省和国家质量监督检验检疫总局批准设立，2004年经国家教育部确认为独立学院，2015年列入应用型本科试点建设高校，是一所特色鲜明的新型全日制普通本科高校。学院坐落在世界小商品之都、国际贸易综合改革试验区义乌的双江湖科教园，校园规划占地898亩（含共享区368亩），总建筑面积25.4万平方米，是一所生态化、数字化、园林化的现代化校园。

China Jiliang University College of Modern Science and Technology was established in 1999 with the approval of Zhejiang Province and the State General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine. It was recognized as an independent college by the Ministry of Education in 2004 and listed as a pilot application-oriented undergraduate university in 2015. It is a new type of full-time ordinary undergraduate university with distinctive characteristics. Located in the Shuangjianghu Science and Education Park of Yiwu, the world's capital of small commodities and an international trade comprehensive reform pilot zone, the college covers a planned area of 898 mu (including 368 mu of shared area) with a total construction area of 254,000 square meters, making it an ecological, digital and garden-style modern campus.

学院拥有一支德才兼备、爱生重教的师资队伍，现任教师中具有研究生学历的占95%以上，副高级以上职称的占35%以上。设有8个二级教学单位，涵盖工、管、法、文、经、理六大学科门类22个本科专业，拥有1个浙江省一流学科、1个省重点建设学科、5个省级一流专业，以及2个省级实验教学示范中心。近三年，学院主持国家级、省部级项目10余项，发表高水平论文138篇，获授权发明专利近100项，与40余家企事业单位建立合作关系。

The college boasts a faculty of virtue and talent who love students and value teaching. Over 95% of the current teachers hold postgraduate degrees, and more than 35% have senior professional titles. It has 8 secondary teaching units, covering 22 undergraduate majors in six disciplines: engineering, management, law, literature, economics and science. It also has 1 first-class discipline in Zhejiang Province, 1 key construction discipline at the provincial level, 5 provincial first-class majors, and 2 provincial experimental teaching demonstration centers. In the past three years, the college has presided over more than 10 national and provincial projects, published 138 high-level papers, obtained nearly 100 authorized invention patents, and established cooperative relations with more than 40 enterprises and institutions.

学院秉承“知物明理、知行合一”的校训，坚持“计量立校、质量兴校”的办学理念，形成了优良的校风和学风。二十余载办学以来，学院办学水平稳步提升，在浙江省独立学院毕业生职业发展调查中多次名列前茅，是一所广受社会认可的应用型本科高校。
