长沙轨道交通职业学院是由湖南省人民政府批准成立、教育部备案、长沙市人民政府主管的一所现代化高职大专院校。学院坐落于长沙临空经济示范区金阳新城，紧邻长沙黄花国际机场和长沙高铁南站，交通便利，经济发达，历史文化底蕴深厚。学院聘任“中国高速轮轨之父”、两院院士沈志云先生担任终身名誉院长。

Changsha Vocational College of Rail Transit is a modern higher vocational college approved by the People's Government of Hunan Province, registered with the Ministry of Education, and administered by the People's Government of Changsha City. The college is located in Jinyang New City of Changsha Airport Economic Demonstration Zone, close to Changsha Huanghua International Airport and Changsha South High-speed Railway Station, enjoying convenient transportation, developed economy, and profound historical and cultural heritage. The college has appointed Mr. Shen Zhiyun, the "Father of China's High-Speed Rail" and an academician of both the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Engineering, as the lifelong honorary president.

学院规划面积1500亩，已有教育教学建筑面积近34.4万平方米。目前，有专任教师342人，具有高级职称教师96人，研究生学历专任教师112人，博士学位13人，“双师型”教师176人。学院图书馆图书36.1万册，电子图书40万册，教学科研仪器设备净值2486.87万元。

The college has a planned area of 1,500 mu and an existing educational and teaching building area of nearly 344,000 square meters. Currently, there are 342 full-time teachers, including 96 with senior professional titles, 112 with postgraduate degrees, 13 with doctoral degrees, and 176 "double-qualified" teachers. The college library has 361,000 paper books, 400,000 e-books, and the net value of teaching and research instruments and equipment is 24.8687 million yuan.

学院坚持以教学为中心，以就业为导向，实行产教融合、校企深度合作办学模式，设置轨道车辆学院、交通运输学院、智能制造学院、数字经济学院、医药健康学院等5大学院，重点打造城市轨道车辆应用技术、城市轨道交通运营管理等特色专业，致力于培养服务轨道交通产业的高素质技术技能型人才，力争建设成为省内一流、全国知名的高水平品牌大学。

Adhering to teaching as the center and employment as the orientation, the college implements the school-running mode of industry-education integration and in-depth school-enterprise cooperation. It has set up 5 colleges including the School of Rail Vehicles, School of Transportation, School of Intelligent Manufacturing, School of Digital Economy, and School of Medical and Health Sciences. Focusing on building characteristic majors such as Urban Rail Vehicle Application Technology and Urban Rail Transit Operation Management, the college is committed to cultivating high-quality technical and skilled talents serving the rail transit industry, striving to become a first-class and nationally renowned high-level brand university in the province.
