长沙航空职业技术学院成立于1973年，是中国特色高水平高职学校和专业群建设单位、国家优质专科高等职业院校、湖南省楚怡高水平高职学校和专业群（A档）建设单位、军队定向培养军士定点高校，主要承担为军队培养定向军士，为军队装备保障和地方航空产业培养高素质技术技能人才的任务。学院现有跳马、圭塘两个校区，占地面积800亩，建筑面积30万平方米，图书馆藏书82.66万余册，设有8个教学院部，开设有飞行器维修技术、空中乘务等22个专业。

Changsha Aeronautical Vocational and Technical College, founded in 1973, is a construction unit of China's high-level vocational schools and professional groups, a national high-quality junior college, a construction unit of Hunan Chuyi High-level Vocational Schools and Professional Groups (Grade A), and a designated college for定向 training of non-commissioned officers for the military. It mainly undertakes the task of training定向 non-commissioned officers for the military and cultivating high-quality technical and skilled talents for military equipment support and local aviation industry. The college has two campuses, Tiaoma and Guitang, covering an area of 800 mu, with a building area of 300,000 square meters, more than 826,600 books in the library, 8 teaching colleges and departments, and 22 majors including aircraft maintenance technology and flight attendant.

学院荣获职业教育国家级教学成果奖5项，拥有国家级示范性职业教育集团1个、骨干专业4个、职业教育示范专业点3个、教学资源库3个、职业教育示范性虚拟仿真实训基地1个、国家在线精品课程5门，入选十四五国家规划教材14部，省级一流特色专业群等建设项目百余项，建有集爱国主义教育、全民国防教育、航空科普教育于一体的湖南航空馆。

The college has won 5 national teaching achievement awards in vocational education, with 1 national demonstration vocational education group, 4 backbone majors, 3 vocational education demonstration professional points, 3 teaching resource databases, 1 national vocational education demonstration virtual simulation training base, 5 national online quality courses, 14 national planning textbooks for the 14th Five-Year Plan, and more than 100 provincial-level first-class characteristic professional groups and other construction projects. It has built Hunan Aviation Museum integrating patriotism education, national defense education and aviation science popularization education.
