长沙工业学院是一所经教育部批准，由长沙市人民政府举办、湖南省教育厅主管的应用型公办普通本科院校，2024年由湖南师范大学树达学院转设而成。学院坐落于享有“世界媒体艺术之都”“中国工程机械之都”美誉的星城长沙，校园总规划近2000亩，目前一期已建成面积670亩。

Changsha Institute of Technology is an application-oriented public undergraduate university approved by the Ministry of Education, sponsored by the Changsha Municipal People's Government and administered by the Hunan Provincial Department of Education. It was transformed from the Shuda College of Hunan Normal University in 2024. Located in Changsha, known as the "World Media Art Capital" and "China's Construction Machinery Capital", the university has a total planned campus area of nearly 2000 mu, with the first phase covering 670 mu.

学校以新工科为主导，构建了多学科交叉融合、协调发展的学科专业体系，涵盖工学、管理学、艺术学等多个学科门类，开设机械设计制造及其自动化（湖南省一流本科建设专业）、电子信息科学与技术、计算机科学与技术、人工智能、机器人工程、数据科学与大数据技术等18个本科专业。现有专任教师382人，其中具有正高级技术职称39人、副高级专业技术职称109人，聘请了56名产业导师参与教育教学与科技创新。

The university takes emerging engineering as the leading discipline and has established a multi-disciplinary and coordinated development system covering engineering, management, art and other fields. It offers 18 undergraduate programs, including Mechanical Design, Manufacturing and Automation (a first-class undergraduate program in Hunan Province), Electronic Information Science and Technology, Computer Science and Technology, Artificial Intelligence, Robotics Engineering, and Data Science and Big Data Technology. There are 382 full-time teachers, including 39 with senior professional titles and 109 with associate senior titles, and 56 industrial tutors are employed to participate in education, teaching and technological innovation.
