长沙师范学院是由湖南省人民政府举办的全日制公办本科院校，前身为毛主席的老师、无产阶级革命家、共和国教育事业奠基人徐特立先生于1912年创办的长沙师范学校。学校起源于徐特立1912年创办的长沙师范学校，是经中华人民共和国教育部批准的全日制普通高等本科院校，为省属级师范类公办高校，成功入选教育部卓越教师培养计划，被评为教育部体育美育浸润行动计划实施单位，是教育部首批幼师国培项目示范性培训基地。

Changsha Normal University is a full-time public undergraduate college run by the People's Government of Hunan Province. Its predecessor was Changsha Normal School founded in 1912 by Mr. Xu Teli, a teacher of Chairman Mao, a proletarian revolutionary, and a founder of the educational cause of the People's Republic of China. Originating from Changsha Normal School founded by Xu Teli in 1912, it is a full-time ordinary higher undergraduate college approved by the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China. It is a provincial public normal college, successfully selected into the Excellent Teacher Training Program of the Ministry of Education, rated as an implementation unit of the Sports and Aesthetic Education Infiltration Action Plan of the Ministry of Education, and is a demonstration training base for the first batch of kindergarten teacher national training projects of the Ministry of Education.

学校现有星沙、安沙两个校区，校园面积69.82万平方米，建筑面积40.18万平方米，教学科研仪器设备总值1.07亿元，馆藏纸质图书100.68万册；拥有省级一流专业建设点：学前教育、小学教育、音乐学、美术学、体育教育等。学校拥有一支发展成熟、教学经验丰富的师资队伍，人数高达1026人，其中专任教师665人。

The university currently has two campuses, Xingsha and Ansha, with a campus area of 698,200 square meters, a building area of 401,800 square meters, the total value of teaching and research instruments and equipment is 107 million yuan, and the collection of paper books is 1,006,800 volumes. It has provincial first-class professional construction sites: preschool education, primary education, musicology, fine arts, physical education, etc. The university has a mature and experienced teaching staff of 1,026 people, including 665 full-time teachers.
