滁州学院位于皖东江淮之间，学校所在地滁州市是南京都市圈和合肥经济圈中心城市，也是长三角一体化发展核心区城市之一，素有“金陵锁钥、江淮保障”之称，山清水秀、文化底蕴浓厚，北宋欧阳修留下千古名篇《醉翁亭记》，下辖的凤阳县小岗村是中国农村改革的重要发源地之一。学校前身是创建于1950年的皖北滁州师范学校，历经滁县师范学校、安徽师范大学滁县教学点（分校）等办学阶段；1980年更名为滁州师范专科学校，2004年经教育部批准升格并定名为滁州学院。2014年被确定为安徽省地方应用型高水平大学建设学校，2017年以良好状态接受了教育部本科教学工作审核评估，2021年被列为安徽省重点立项建设硕士学位授予单位。

Chuzhou University is located between the Yangtze and Huaihe Rivers in eastern Anhui Province. Its location, Chuzhou City, is a central city in the Nanjing Metropolitan Circle and Hefei Economic Circle, and one of the core cities in the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta. Known as the "Key to Jinling and the Guarantee of Jianghuai", it boasts beautiful scenery and a rich cultural heritage. The Northern Song Dynasty poet Ouyang Xiu left the timeless masterpiece "Record of the Drunken Old Man's Pavilion" here, and Xiaogang Village in Fengyang County under its jurisdiction is one of the important birthplaces of China's rural reform. The university's predecessor was the Northern Anhui Chuzhou Normal School founded in 1950, going through stages such as Chuxian Normal School and the Chuxian Teaching Point (Branch) of Anhui Normal University. It was renamed Chuzhou Teachers College in 1980 and upgraded to Chuzhou University with the approval of the Ministry of Education in 2004. In 2014, it was identified as a construction university for Anhui Provincial Local Application-oriented High-level University, accepted the Ministry of Education's undergraduate teaching audit and evaluation with good performance in 2017, and was listed as a key project construction unit for master's degree authorization in Anhui Province in 2021.

学校现有会峰、琅琊两个校区，均与国家5A级景区琅琊山风景名胜区比邻，与琅琊山国家森林公园融为一体，山水相依、环境优美，是教书育人、科学研究的理想之地。学校占地面积1647.8亩，校舍建筑面积48.4万平方米，教学科研仪器设备值3.8亿元，馆藏纸质图书140.05万册，电子图书157.51万册。设有15个二级学院，开设62个本科专业。普通全日制在校本科生17301人，联合培养全日制硕士研究生282人，成人高等学历继续教育在籍学生20196人。现有教职工1371人，其中专任教师1058人、高级职称350人、博士389人。拥有教育部高等学校专业教学指导委员会委员、国务院特殊津贴专家、全国优秀教师、安徽省先进工作者、安徽省学术技术带头人、安徽省最美教师等60人次。

The university currently has two campuses, Huifeng and Langya, both adjacent to the national 5A-level scenic spot Langya Mountain Scenic Area and integrated with Langya Mountain National Forest Park. With beautiful scenery and interdependent mountains and rivers, it is an ideal place for teaching, learning and scientific research. The university covers an area of 1647.8 mu, with a school building area of 484,000 square meters, teaching and research equipment worth 380 million yuan, 1.4005 million printed books in the library, and 1.5751 million e-books. It has 15 secondary colleges offering 62 undergraduate majors. There are 17,301 full-time undergraduate students, 282 jointly cultivated full-time postgraduate students, and 20,196 in-service students in adult higher education. The university has 1,371 faculty members, including 1,058 full-time teachers, 350 with senior titles, and 389 with doctoral degrees. It has 60 person-times including members of the Professional Teaching Steering Committee of the Ministry of Education, experts enjoying special government allowances from the State Council, national excellent teachers, advanced workers in Anhui Province, academic and technical leaders in Anhui Province, and the most beautiful teachers in Anhui Province.
