池州学院坐落在中国第一个生态经济示范区——安徽省池州市，是一所综合性的省属普通本科学校。其前身是创办于1977年的池州师范专科学校，2007年3月经教育部批准升格为池州学院。学校校园面积约1959亩，校舍规划总建筑面积54万平方米，拥有设施先进的实验室、网络中心、图书馆等现代化教学科研设施，纸质图书80万册，电子图书50万册，各类期刊1600余种。

Chizhou University is located in Chizhou City, Anhui Province, the first ecological economic demonstration zone in China. It is a comprehensive provincial ordinary undergraduate school. Its predecessor was Chizhou Teachers College founded in 1977, and it was upgraded to Chizhou University with the approval of the Ministry of Education in March 2007. The university covers an area of about 1959 mu, with a planned total building area of 540,000 square meters. It has modern teaching and research facilities such as advanced laboratories, network centers, and libraries, with 800,000 paper books, 500,000 e-books, and more than 1,600 kinds of periodicals.

学校以本科教育为主，设有15个教学系部、42个本科专业，全日制本专科生近15000人。拥有一支结构合理的师资队伍，其中安徽省学术和技术带头人4人，省级教学名师5人，建有国家级特色专业、国家级专业综合改革试点等多个教学质量工程项目。学校秉承“以孔子为师，以行知为友”的校训，注重应用型人才培养，积极开展对外交流合作，与韩国、台湾等多所高校建立合作关系。

The university focuses on undergraduate education, with 15 teaching departments, 42 undergraduate majors, and nearly 15,000 full-time undergraduate and junior college students. It has a well-structured faculty, including 4 academic and technical leaders in Anhui Province and 5 provincial teaching masters. It has established many teaching quality engineering projects such as national characteristic majors and national professional comprehensive reform pilots. Adhering to the school motto of "Taking Confucius as a teacher and Xingzhi as a friend", the university focuses on the cultivation of applied talents, actively carries out foreign exchanges and cooperation, and has established cooperative relations with many universities in South Korea, Taiwan and other regions.
