东莞城市学院（Dongguan City University）是由广东鸿发投资集团有限公司举办的本科层次民办普通高等学校。其前身为东莞理工学院城市学院，2004年6月经教育部批准为独立学院，于2021年5月经教育部批准转设，更名为东莞城市学院。

Dongguan City University is a private undergraduate ordinary higher education institution sponsored by Guangdong Hongfa Investment Group Co., Ltd. Its predecessor was the City College of Dongguan University of Technology, which was approved as an independent college by the Ministry of Education in June 2004 and renamed Dongguan City University upon approval by the Ministry of Education in May 2021.

学校位于东莞市寮步镇松山湖大道旁（文昌路1号），交通便利，环境优美。校园规划用地1228亩，完成建筑面积42.3万平方米。校园建设重视生态环境保护，依托原有的自然环境风貌，以"山、水、树、人"融为一体的设计理念，巧妙运用岭南传统建筑元素，达到了"人与自然、建筑"三者的和谐交融，堪称岭南园林式学府。

The university is located beside Songshan Lake Avenue (No. 1 Wenchang Road) in Liaobu Town, Dongguan City, with convenient transportation and a beautiful environment. The campus planning covers an area of 1228 mu, with a completed construction area of 423,000 square meters. The campus construction attaches importance to ecological environmental protection, relying on the original natural environment style, with the design concept of integrating "mountains, water, trees and people", and skillfully using Lingnan traditional architectural elements to achieve the harmonious integration of "human, nature and architecture", which can be called a Lingnan garden-style university.

截至2023年6月，学校设有14个教学单位，45个本科专业；建立了97个专业实验室、218个校外教学实践基地、24个校级科研机构，与20多家科研院所和企业建立了"产学研"关系。现有普通全日制学生19000多人。会计学专业入选2020年国家级一流本科专业建设点，物流管理、计算机科学与技术、软件工程、财务管理、工商管理、保险学、金融学、数字媒体艺术8个专业入选广东省一流本科专业建设点。

As of June 2023, the university has 14 teaching units and 45 undergraduate majors; established 97 professional laboratories, 218 off-campus teaching practice bases, 24 university-level scientific research institutions, and established "industry-university-research" relationships with more than 20 scientific research institutes and enterprises. There are more than 19,000 full-time undergraduate students. The Accounting major was selected as a national first-class undergraduate major construction site in 2020, and 8 majors including Logistics Management, Computer Science and Technology, Software Engineering, Financial Management, Business Administration, Insurance, Finance, and Digital Media Art were selected as Guangdong Provincial first-class undergraduate major construction sites.

学校全面实施人才强校战略，大力引进各类优秀人才，培养和造就一支师德高尚、结构合理、素质优良、业务精湛的高水平、专业化、创新型教师队伍。目前学校专任教师中具有博士、硕士学位教师占比90%。学校现有广东省优秀民办校长1名，省级教学名师3名，先后有30余名教师获得南粤优秀教师、广东省民办教育优秀教师等荣誉称号。

The university comprehensively implements the strategy of strengthening the university with talents, vigorously introduces various outstanding talents, and cultivates a high-level, professional and innovative teaching team with noble ethics, reasonable structure, excellent quality and exquisite business. At present, 90% of the full-time teachers have doctoral or master's degrees. The university currently has 1 excellent private university president in Guangdong Province, 3 provincial teaching famous teachers, and more than 30 teachers have won honors such as Excellent Teachers in South Guangdong and Excellent Teachers in Private Education in Guangdong Province.
