德宏师范学院是教育部批准成立的省属公办全日制普通高等学校，由云南省教育厅主管，省州共建共管。学校前身为创办于1955年的潞西师范学校，历经多次合并与发展，于2025年正式升格为本科院校，成为德宏傣族景颇族自治州第一所公办本科大学。

Dehong Normal University is a public full-time ordinary institution of higher education approved by the Ministry of Education, administered by the Yunnan Provincial Department of Education and co-constructed and managed by the province and the prefecture. Formerly known as Luxi Normal School founded in 1955, the university was officially upgraded to an undergraduate institution in 2025 after several mergers and development, becoming the first public undergraduate university in Dehong Dai and Jingpo Autonomous Prefecture.

学校占地面积近1000亩，下设11个二级学院，开设36个本科专业，现有教职工478人，其中副高级以上职称教师159人，全日制在校生近万人。学校以师范教育为特色，注重应用型人才培养，构建了“见习-研习-实习”全链条实践教学体系，同时积极服务地方发展，在民族团结教育、边疆文化传承等领域形成鲜明办学优势。

Covering an area of nearly 1,000 mu, the university has 11 secondary colleges and offers 36 undergraduate majors. It currently has 478 faculty members, including 159 teachers with associate senior titles or above, and nearly 10,000 full-time students. With normal education as its characteristic, the university focuses on the cultivation of applied talents and has built a full-chain practical teaching system of "internship-study-practice". It also actively serves local development and has formed distinct school-running advantages in fields such as national unity education and border culture inheritance.
