大连医科大学创建于1947年，前身为关东医学院，是辽宁省属重点高校，入选国家“中西部高校基础能力建设工程”和辽宁省“国内高水平大学建设高校”。学校始终坚持“立德树人”根本任务，以培养高素质医学人才为核心，形成了以医学为主，理学、工学、管理学、艺术学等多学科协调发展的学科专业体系。

Dalian Medical University, founded in 1947 as Kanto Medical College, is a key university under the administration of Liaoning Province. It has been included in the "Basic Capacity Building Project for Universities in Central and Western China" and designated as a "Domestic High-Level University Construction Institution" in Liaoning. Adhering to the fundamental mission of "cultivating virtue and educating people," the university focuses on training high-quality medical talents and has developed a disciplinary system with medicine as the mainstay, coordinated by multiple disciplines such as science, engineering, management, and arts.

学校拥有两个校区，主校区位于大连市旅顺南路，占地面积151万平方米，建筑面积53.2万平方米；另一个校区为位于大连市金州区的中山学院。学校设有23个学院（部），27个本科专业，拥有5个一级学科博士学位授权点，1个博士专业学位授权点，11个一级学科硕士学位授权点，7个硕士专业学位授权点，形成了完整的学士、硕士、博士三级人才培养体系。

The university has two campuses. The main campus is located on Lvshun South Road, Dalian, covering an area of 1.51 million square meters with a building area of 532,000 square meters; the other campus is Zhongshan College in Jinzhou District, Dalian. It comprises 23 colleges (departments) and offers 27 undergraduate programs. The university has 5 first-level doctoral degree authorization points, 1 professional doctoral degree authorization point, 11 first-level master's degree authorization points, and 7 professional master's degree authorization points, forming a complete talent training system at the bachelor's, master's, and doctoral levels.

学校师资力量雄厚，现有教职工及医护人员9500余人，其中正高级职称人员900余人，副高级职称人员1500余人。拥有国家级人才项目入选者30余人，辽宁省“兴辽英才计划”入选者100余人。学校注重科研创新，建有1个国家重点实验室培育基地，3个教育部重点实验室，10个辽宁省重点实验室，在肿瘤学、神经病学、心血管病学等领域形成了鲜明的科研特色和优势。

The university boasts a strong faculty, with over 9,500 faculty members and medical staff, including more than 900 with senior professional titles and over 1,500 with associate senior professional titles. It has over 30 national-level talent program recipients and more than 100 recipients of Liaoning's "Xingliao Talents Program." Focusing on scientific research innovation, the university has established 1 national key laboratory cultivation base, 3 key laboratories of the Ministry of Education, and 10 key laboratories of Liaoning Province, forming distinct research characteristics and advantages in oncology, neurology, cardiology, and other fields.
